Epping Forest is a great place to visit for the day or you can even stay in the Campsite at Debden which is nice with plenty of facilities and things to do. Epping Forest itself offers lots to do be it walking in the woods on one of its many walking routes or exploring the hidden areas of the woods. If you do photography its great for that and has a load to photograph be it wildlife which there is plenty of, landscapes and hidden away ponds.

I live in Loughton & often visit the forest either alone or with my partner. We love it, wet or dry, sunny or grey it's just a lovely place to spend time walking and thinking. Tea hut is lovely and has friendly staff and very popular with bikers.

I have ridden Epping Forest many times over the years and it always brings a smile to my face. There are miles and miles of trails, flattish easy gravel to steep hills covered in mud and hidden swamps that can catch even the most experienced out. High Beach has a tea hut that can provide you with a chance to take a rest and a cup of something at a very reasonable price. The trails are suitable for beginners, families to out and out headbangers who are giving it their all. Although their skill level may greatly differ , what is almost certain is that they will all finish the day with a smile.

I live in Theydon Bois and walk my dogs in the forest every day. I have seen deer squirrels rabbits and even a weasel also a great deal of bird life. No matter what time of year rain or shine you never know what you are going to see. Stay on the paths if you don't want to get lost but if you are a bit more adventurous you can explore deeper into the forest. There are plenty of car parks in the area and the tube is a short walk away. Great for all the family.
