Love this beach!! Sand not stones. Me and my son love shell collecting here as the sea washes up lots of different ones not just the usual. Very spacious with great rocks to explore!

There is a long stretch of beach, (or beaches), at Clacton-on-Sea. the most popular part is sandy, but also has many stones. However, it is very near to the pier, the funfair, restaurants, a pub and the town itself. It does get very busy, but if you walk a bit further along there are stretches of almost empty, sandy beaches.

Take no notice of the 'benefits by the sea' programme. Clacton on sea is ideal for families. It has a fantastic beach which runs for several miles to Walton on the Naze. The sun alsway shines in Clacton (well quite a lot andy way!)
