- OnAir551343106611 contributionGreat family tripLovely place, very friendly and welcoming. Some of the areas were a bit tatty and in need of a ‘refresh’ but on whole the park was clean and plenty of hand washing stations. The animas looked happy and the rides and play areas were spotless and plenty to do for all ages. Staff were really nice and I can’t fault the kindness and effort of the train driver! Duggee was also good but would have liked to have had a photo opportunity with him rather than just over the railings. Overall a great morning though.Thank you so much for coming to see us - your feedback has been noted and forwarded on to the relevant Managers. We hope to welcome you back again soon. - cristiane s16 contributionsWonderful place for children. It was my first and I absolutely loved. It was just how it is advertised. I took my 2 year old daughter and she had the time of her life. So many animals to see and to pet. Loads play areas and rides. Plenty places to eat too. I’ll certainly return. This is what we like to hear! Thank you so much - we're so pleased to hear that your little one 'had the time of her life'! Since coming yesterday they now have an accessibility wrist band for people with access needs for the rides and I think this is fantastic so they don’t feel stressed having to queue up. We will see you again soon :).Fantastic ! We look forward to seeing you again soon, thank you so much. All the ride operators was so friendly with the kids especially the train driver and the horse track! Even if it rained there are things inside like the soft play and the little village town, also some of the animals are under cover!Perfect! Thank you so much for your fabulous 5***** review. - Michelle PLondon, United Kingdom125 contributionsSo much fun for children and adults with great seasonal eventsWe visited today for the Halloween Festival and had an amazing time! We had so much fun visiting the pumpkin patch, spotting the ghosts, meeting the animals, jumping on the rides, eating tasty food, visiting the haunted house, doing the spooky maze, playing in the playgrounds, seeing a magic show, and taking home our very own pumpkin. There are so many wonderful photo opportunities in the pumpkin picking area and around the farm, and lots for families to see and do. We came today with 3 adults and 3 children aged 18 months, 4 and 5 years old, and all had a great time. The prize for spotting all the ghosts is spooktacular, too. We really enjoyed our Halloween trip and will be recommending it to all our friends for haunted half term hijinks. There was so much to see and do for children and adults alike. We were here for nearly 4 hours before the little ones started getting tired, and there were still loads of things we hadn't done. We can't wait for our next visit and will definitely be back for the Christmas event. We love reading reviews like this.... Thank you so much for taking the time to share your 'spooky' experience at Old MacDonalds Farm. - Robyn SpikeLondon, United Kingdom1 contributionHalloween FestivalWe had the best day out at Old macdonalds farm Halloween Festival. The kids all received a free pumpkin, that they were able to choose themselves from the fabulously decorated pumpkin village. All the kids were given a light up magic wand from the Magic show, as a parent you know these are usually pricey at events, so we were delighted they were given for free!! The rides were brilliant and did not have to queue for long at all. The animals, soft play, playgrounds and indoor play centre were amazing. We can't wait to returnThis is fantastic, thank you so much for taking the time to share your 'spooktakular' day! We look forward to welcoming you back again soon. We visited for the Halloween festival and had so much fun! We loved hunting for the ghosts on the ghost trail and the pumpkin patch was great too! Each time we have visited we have stayed for the entire day as there is so much to do. Would highly recommend and can’t wait for our next trip 😊Brilliant ! - Mark G1 contributionHalloween festivalWe had a lovely family day out (Mum, Dad, 5 year old and 6 Month old) at old Mac Donalds farm, for their halloween festival. the woodland area has been transformed into a pumpkin patch, with photo opportunities and areas to explore. there are regular magic shows, with a gift for people taking part. A treasure trail to find the ghost names will take you round the park - some are more trickier than others, but it will get you exploring the whole area and see all of the animals and attractions it has to offer. Complete this, and again you get a little gift. Hot chocolates as usual themed for the events and tasty as ever. possibly a warning for the haunted house that has been brought in for some younger members of your party, maybe walk through and check it yourself before your child goes in. Every child even got to take home a pumpkin.Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience at our Halloween festival. We just visited today as a family of 5 (2 adults, a 5 year old and 16 month old twins). Cost us £59 and the twins were free. This place is so so expensive for what it actually offers. Some rides and a soft play is included, which was a bonus for our 5 year old. Not much seating available so we were stood around while she played on the soft play.
What was disappointing is that every animal is either behind high brick walls or picket type fence (with an electric fence behind that) which made it impossible for any baby/child in a pram to see the animals through. The gaps were small, so trying to get a baby/babies to see the animals through that gap was basically impossible. Our 5 year old was able to look through the fence but because it’s such a pain to see any animals, it really didn’t hold her attention very long. You can’t touch or hand feed any animals so it’s a real dull walk around.
Every hour there was a “pet an animal”‘ type experience. We did pony, gecko, Pygmy hedgehog and rabbits. You can’t hold them, just stroke them for a minute or so.
We did the Easter egg hunt, the children got a decent sized chocolate bar.
Food and drink super overpriced so definitely bring a picnic. £3 for a small bottle of drink, £3.50 for a whippy ice cream cone.
All in all, we wouldn’t visit again or recommend to our friends and family, purely because views to the animals are so restricted for the little ones. Couldn’t really feed or stroke the farm animals. It was basically £60 for a walk around some gravel paths, a soft play and a few outdoor play areas with a couple of rides thrown in for good measure.

The website and prebooking system looked encouraging due to the current pandemic. Upon arrival it states that you must wear masks entering the shop and entrance to the farm. This is not adhered to by the staff or customers alike and was hit and miss. For the size of the car park I could only see 4 disabled bays which were all full before entry time. First impressions as we sat and watched the frog show was just how neglected the attraction was. Rusted and certainly needed some TLC. There was no compliance from the public going to see the animals and at times, people were just right on top of each other. The ride times were extremely long as the staff did clean each ride after use which you’d think was good but all done with the same wipe and very inconsistent. Only rides were wiped down. Items like the pay as you use tractors were not cleaned and indeed had run out of power by 3pm. We queued to purchase ice creams and both the smarties push up and flake ice creams were sold out. Directional signs around the park were actually upside down in some instances and just showed arrows. We found a child’s toy and attempted to hand it to a member of staff who told me “Its not my responsibility”. There were no coin changing machines available. There was absolutely zero engagement or enthusiasm from any staff and no smiles. Sadly the only positive I can comment on is the welfare of the animals looked very good and all the bins / rubbish was collected frequently. For the price, the lack of enforcement for social distancing and lack of any smile or engagement from staff, I can not recommend this as a day out.

Wow is all I can say; what an amazing experience.
I have never been to OMDF before but randomly decided to book for Saturday 19th December for A Christmas Journey. I don't know what I expected but this surpassed all my expectations.
My partner and I took our 1 year old and paid the money to get the toddlers Build a Bag to do with him. We had great fun going to the different locations and sticking our stickers in the book and even getting a gift at some places. We went on the reindeer, Polar Express and Snowy Tractor Ride multiple times and it's the first time he's been on a ride and hasn't cried. He absolutely loved the tractor ride especially. There was so much to see and do I'm not even sure if he looked at any of the animals.
Every member of staff we met were friendly and played their role very well. I didnt take names but the conductor on the Polar Express was fantastic along with the girls in the Elf's Workshop who gave us an extra chocolate coin because my son dropped his straight away. I literally cannot fault a single member of staff from those at the gates, those doing maintenance and those dressed as elfs. Although my son wouldn't agree because he was petrified of the amazing wandering Santa.
We tried out the burger van and loved the food, reasonable prices too compared to other places we've been this year.
Our day out has quite possibly been our best day out this year and I'm so glad we had the opportunity to go before going into Tier 4.
We'll be returning next year and we'll be buying season passes to enjoy all the different events throughout the year!

My 2 year old twins had a great day, there is so much to see and do. We arrived at 11am and stayed until 3pm. The rides are great all included in the price. It is quite expensive but when you get there you realise it’s money well spent.
Lots to do, several picnic benches so finding a place to eat and have a little rest is not a problem.
They have wash stations dotted around and the farm has a very good system in place. The staff were really friendly and welcoming too.!
The only thing I would say is the baby changing facilities could be better. This is the reason why I didn’t rate it 5 stars .
The room is tiny and the facilities are very basic. It could do with expanding to create more space. We found it very cramped and had to squeeze past a mother changing her child to get out. It’s not a big ask and I know the parents would really appreciate this especially as most the children (in nappies) visiting the park will need to pay a visit there. otherwise a Really lovely day out.

We were excited to spend my sons birthday there today, we looked at the menu for vegetarians ahead of our visit, which looked nice in theory.
We tried to order breakfast but were asked if we didn’t mind that the eggs and meat were cooked and kept together, we declined and left.
At lunch time the only offerings were deep fried everything, it was 27oC and wanted the promised fresh sandwiches etc. The kids food was deep fried nuggets or sausage, we asked for 2 cheese only toasties and sat down on the other side of the park to find that they had ham in them. 5 mins walk back across the park then another 10 min wait for 1 toastie because they’d run out of no -meat ones. The only salt they had for fries had to be done by the staff, I sat down to so much salt on them they were inedible. My cheese toastie was the blandest thing I’ve ever had and abandoned it half way though. £35 for food we didn’t enjoy, incorrect order and ruined by salt. The drinks were also warmer than the earths crust and abandoned.
The park itself was nice, it felt clean and safe. Nice day out but we were so hungry we left early. Take you’re own food if you don’t like deep fried bacon burgers covered in wasps and flies

Today was our first time visiting Old MacDonald's farm. Its has been amazing, the social distancing measures in place made it less stressful and the staff were very friendly. The rides were being cleaned after every use and staff were cleaning the parks and bins every half hour it was very nice to see.
when we left at 5:15pm the staff were sanitising the park with sanitiser and jet wash ready for tomorrow. cleaning of the park.
food and drink were a little over priced but we took a picnic and just brought drinks £3.50 for a latte, £4.50 for an ice latte and £3 each for a slush.
As a family of 4 we pre-booked a week in advance to get the best deal and we had a brilliant time arrived at 10 and stayed until it closed.

Had a fab day with 3 kids, 2x 4yr olds and 1x almost 2 years old.
They both enjoyed everything.
So much to see and do and love that all the rides are included in the price.
Small ques here and there for some of the bigger rides but no longer than 20mins
The magic show was a real bonus, luckily we stumbled across it as was tucked out of the way behind the park, near the spiderman climbing activity (look out for the red&white tent)
Brilliant entertainment!
Take some £1 coins and 50p as some smaller rides and animal food take coins.
Highly recommend going here for a fun family day out.

We love a visit to Old Macdonald’s Farm. So much so we have a seasonal pass.
When we saw ‘A Christmas Journey’ advertised we knew it would be magical, and what a transformation into a magical wonderland.
We took our 18 month old little boy and he loved every moment! It’s really hard to know where to start writing this review, the experience is very interactive and magical from the moment you arrive at the train station to begin your ‘Christmas Journey’. The staff all worked really hard they were always in character with big smiles and they really do make the children's day even more magical.
There were a few new rides to try which we loved, especially the ‘Chilly Willy’, as always the rides are cleaned throughly after each use and there are sanitising stations everywhere.
We did the circus at the end and we really did save the best until the end! We were seated within minutes of arrival! Everyone was seated a safe 1m distance apart and face masks were worn. We wasn’t sure our little one would manage to sit through the circus but he did and loved clapping along! It really is a show for all ages to enjoy.
This year is of course different to anything we have ever experienced before, but that doesn’t mean anything is any less magical. Everything at the farm has been adapted to make the farm a safe environment for visitors, staff and animals... We all know children love seeing Santa and you will see him several times during the journey whilst he is roaming around the farm.
On our way out we collected a gift which was an age appropriate reindeer teddy.
One last thing, you must try the Terry’s chocolate orange hot chocolate, it was amazing!!

Great day out, took my daughter who is almost 2 and plenty for her to do and see. I also have to say what great customer service I received as I had in fact booked tickets for the wrong date and only realised the night before as I got an email asking for feedback of my experience that day. I emailed explaining this not holding out much hope but a lovely lady called Shannon emailed me back at 9pm that night confirming she was happy to move the tickets and had resent them via email.
We will definitely be visiting again soon!

Not really a farm… was expecting more animal interaction. We came with 4 years old and 17 months old. Only ride 4 year old wanted to go on (doggy ride) he wasn’t allowed on as he wasn’t 120cm tall. Similar rides we went on, you only gotta be around 1m tall. All in all overpriced for what it is, I would rather choose different farm, where you can actually interact with animals or zoo, like Wildlife paradise park instead.

We are sorry to read this review. We strive hard to provide a fun learning experience for everybody with a variety of animals, rides and other fun attractions across our whole site. We do try to be very clear about what we have for our visitors to see and do. Nevertheless, we have taken your feedback on board and hope to see you again. OMD

I've booked the wrong date but there doesn't seem to be an option to adjust the date. Has any one been able to do this before? I know they have a no refund policy but note sure on changing the dates

Anyone had a party there for a toddler? Experience please?
Written December 2, 2019
We did not have a party but surely think it would have been a good venue for toddlers especially if you live nearby

How much is it for a child who is on dla and also how much would I pay
Written August 31, 2019
Prices vary, depending on when you go. It is cheaper in the afternoon. Prices for children aged 2-15 start from £8. Best to phone them.

Do you pay for a 1 year old

Is there enough to keep two toddlers entertained on a rainy day?
Written June 11, 2019
As you are paying entry for adults and children I would not recommend for a rainy day as so much more to enjoy at the park if dry
