The town has a market on Wednesday and the stall holders steal all the blue badge places so anyone disabled has to walk 0.5 / mile. There is really nowhere to have a decent coffee unless you plan to get a mortgage out for a...More

On every visit the staff have always been very helpful and pleasant. This is a pretty building in the heart of Braintree, and is good for weddings. As it is in the town centre and there are no gardens for wedding photos but there is...More

As most people in Braintree I only get to really visit the Old Town Hall when accosted by those lovely ladies armed with clipboards outside Tesco's under the promise of sampling the likes of crisps or a new breakfast product. The function room host many...More

Excellent location, lovely building, lovely atmosphere, great staff. We attended a family wedding at the Town Hall, which is now the towns Registry Office for civil ceremonies. It is a lovely old building with lots of character and a great staircase for capturing photos of...More

Great council office and they really try to help you enjoy the town centre, not your usual town hall.

Fancied popping in and having a look around the town hall. Whilst it was a short visit it was lovely to see a piece of unspoilt history. Well kept
