About
Built in 1703, Pooh Corner is a grade II listed building on the edge of the 100 Acre Wood (the Ashdown Forest) in Hartfield, East Sussex, just a short walk from where the Winnie the Pooh stories came to life! Famous for being the sweet shop where Christopher Robin and AA Milne used to frequent it is now a spiritual home for Winnie the Pooh fans worldwide. With a tea and coffee shop, gift shop and a Pooh-seum covering the last 95 years of Winnie the Pooh and it’s creators. It's a wonderful experience for the whole family!

This has to be the best place ever for a Winnie the pooh lover! We visited Pooh Corner and booked ourselves a table online in case it was busy, which for an early Saturday morning, it wasn't! We'd booked our table for 12:30 but ended up arriving earlier than expected and the lovely staff managed to get us our table half hour earlier than we'd booked to save us waiting around.

The food and drinks arrived really fast and were really nice, I recommend the Teddy bear toast cause it's super cute and the loose tea cause it comes in a winnie the pooh teapot. Nothing is overpriced as all the food was delicious and super fresh.

The museum (or pooh'seum) is just a small room but it's filled with so much history of Winnie the Pooh collectables and lots of information which is fun to read. The gift shop is really good too with a variety of stuff animals, postcards, keyrings, stickers and so much more!

They also have little mini jam and honey jars that you can take with you on your way out which is a nice little added extra!
You can also ask for a map that shows you how to get to pooh sticks bridge and the 100 acre woods, it is about a 40 minute walk there and then 40 minute back along country roads, so we parked on pooh car park which is then a 10 minute walk down to pooh sticks bridge, we went on a weekend and at the car park there was a hut selling hot drinks and snacks, which was lovely!

Overall you HAVE to visit Pooh Corner because it's such a lovely experience!

We Visited Pooh's corner after going to a scream fest at tullys and my best friend noticed we were only half hour away from Pooh's corner, which we saw that someone had visited and put their day on tik tok !!!. I have always been Winnie the pooh mad, since I was born and often follow Winnie the poohs wisdom :) haha.
Anyway we were not disappointed, we were greeted by the lovely ladies that were serving food and i asked to sit near the telly to watch while we ate, As you can see on my photos, We ordered drinks which came so quickly and my god it was the best hot chocolate I've had, I wanted to take all the mugs home with me lol. Then the food came and the quality of the food was amazing, Me and my friend had jackets and my husband had a toastie and my bestie had a ploughmans spread !!. We were all so quite while we ate as it was so nice and mouth watering, everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. We even finished our meal with winnie the pooh toast with honey... se picture below. That was amazing and a nice way to finish our meal.
Full bellies and very satisfied, we decided to look around the shop and we all came away with some things, my husband decided it was time to go as i was close to buying everything in the shop.

Overall I would recommend this place in a heart beat and advise you guys to go as you will not be disappointed, Me and my friends have already said instead of coming for a day we want to book some sort of short stay so we can visit Pooh's corner several times before we head back to the midlands.

Just wanted to say thank you to the everyone that runs Pooh's corner, you really do deliver a lovely experience :) We cannot wait to go back.

We love this place. A wonderful atmosphere, keeping the original sweet shop spirit of Christopher Robin's childhood days. Friendly staff and the owners, Sam and Neil, having a passion for all things Pooh and Milne.
Excellent menu with vegan offerings a plenty.
Finish off with a potter around the 'Poohseum' and shop, which has some unexpected items.
In the summer, the honey garden looks good.
We'll be back.

Very good food, good quality and reasonable price. Sitting outside is much nicer than inside. The children loved it and enjoyed the bear shaped toast and honey. Parents enjoyed tasty baguettes and decent tea.

We were walking in Ashdown Forest and had researched where to stop for lunch. Thought this looked like a fun place to eat. The staff were so friendly and the service was really quick. The food was absolutely amazing, really fresh and delicious, so were the cakes. The prices are really reasonable and portion sizes are good. After eating you can go inside where there is a shop selling everything Pooh and a little museum which is also really interesting. Definitely recommend whether you are a Winnie the Pooh fan or not.

Brilliant staff, great food and service. All with a Winnie the Pooh theme, this does not distract from the simple pleasure of eating fine food. Worth the ninety minute drive there even without the Pooh museum, which is very good too.
Not a Pooh fan? Then just go for the food and service, unbeatable'
