If one picture on a postcard could sum up an idyllic English Seaside destination it would have to be Southwold Pier. Decked out across the sea in the picturesque coastal town of Southwold, this pillared walkway has a magnetic attraction and something for everyone to enjoy! There's so much to do a whole day can drift by while you walk the planks and explore this historic icon. Please note: Our opening times are weather permitting and therefore can change.

Every seaside resort should have a pier like this! Places to eat, places to buy souvenirs or an ice cream and loads of seating to enjoy the bracing sea air after a walk to the pier end. A great asset to Southwold.

Enjoyed a super visit here in lovely weather. Although small it is well maintained has a couple of quality eateries and a delightful gift shop with good quality items for sale , not tacky. Well worth a visit.

Had a walk down the pier. It is stuck in a time warp which is quite nice really. There is a cafe and shop and a quirky little museum with coin operated amusements, very old style, but it goes with the territory. Lovely view back...More

Lovely stroll in the sun, with a sea breeze, along the pier. Play games, shop, eat and have fun, all in one place.

We spent the whole afternoon enjoying the entertainment on the pier which kept the children amused for a relatively small amount of money.

Hi Kevin Apologies for the late response. All plaques that are placed on the pier stay up indefinitely so it will certainly still be there. We look forward to seeing you on your trip this Summer. Kind regards Peter
