If one picture on a postcard could sum up an idyllic English Seaside destination it would have to be Southwold Pier. Decked out across the sea in the picturesque coastal town of Southwold, this pillared walkway has a magnetic attraction and something for everyone to enjoy! There's so much to do a whole day can drift by while you walk the planks and explore this historic icon. Please note: Our opening times are weather permitting and therefore can change.

An old pier with the lovely touch of the message plates of people's memories. Great views back over some of Suffolk's most beautiful coasts

Ok day out for a family. But everything expensive. Lovely beach however the pier is overrated. The I scream station is hidden and there's no staff presented there.

No noisy, expensive rides, just one area with a few slot machines (mostly 2p drop type). The rest of the pier is an attractive assortment of white buildings containing: a beach cafe, a more upmarket restaurant, another tea room type cafe, two really nice gift shops and one containing wacky interactive machinery. There is an unusual clock water feature (but... More

A small pier with one or two eating places. Had tea and cakes, which were very nice. Seating areas in need of a bit of tlc but for a pier, not bad. Visited the Amusement Arcade to satisfy my great niece's thirst for gambling! A bit ordinary but ok.

Loved this pier! Okay, so it was expensive. Nearly ate the place at the base of the pier but eyes popped out of my skull when I saw the prices. Make sure if you want to eat on the pier, you bring a fair amount of cash with you. Me and my brother were particularly amazed at The Under The... More

Free parking right out the front,or paid for a minute walk away. Very accessible - great for mobility scooter/wheelchairs. Arcades. Under the pier show with homemade arcades - very cool. Restaurant (little expensive bu so worth it). Chip shop. Lovely gift shops. Enough toilets. not too far to walk. Lots of seating. Beach is nice. Just outside entrance is another... More

Southwold pier, totally different from the normal pier, great to take the children, good cafe and delightful sculptures, plenty to see and interactive section which is great, especially for the inquisitive mind, well worth a visit.

Pretty views and quirky hand made arcade machines. Try and throw a coin on the end of the pier. Tasty chips.

I really love Southwold and the pier is always a highlight. Visit the cafe on the pier and you won't be disappointed. The pier, beach and town are classic England at its best.

One of my very favourite places. Plenty to see: quirky games in the arcade, delicious ice creams - I particularly recommend the damson - and. a couple of lovely shops to browse. Make sure you wait to see the water clock perform on the hour or half hour - that's the best thing of all. Dogs allowed too!
