Had a great afternoon at Long Shop Museum, the kids in particular enjoyed the entertainer who orchestrated a number of games with audience participation - they described it as “fabulous” and “brilliant”.

A specialised and functional museum with loads of old machinery. A bit tired but enthusiastic volunteers. I was dragged along by my wife who wanted new information on the Garretts and she enjoyed the detail and information provided.

What a great museum and so much history in a compact site. The staff, volunteers?, were very friendly and helpful and the exhibits are well described with lots of context and anecdotes. The family story of the Garretts is most interesting too.
