Bird Watching

Saw various warblers, yellow wagtails, stonechat, roseatte terns. Will depend of course on the time of year.

Great views. I attended a walk with the ranger and we have seen many types of birds. I even learnt to use binoculars, it was a great experience. Highly recommend visiting the Nature Reserve, too.

This is a very nice walk surrounded by the sea on 2 sides, lots of wildlife and safe for children, dog owners should have dogs on short leads!!! areas can be roped off but you can still see when birds nest on the shingle.

Not many birds about, would have been better if we had had our binoculars with us, Saw a rather large rabbit/hare though, way up high in the foliage of the Cliffside of the Landguard Fort.

This is a nice accessible nature reserve with lots of birds and a few butterflies to see and photograph. It's just around the corner from the docks so the big container ships make for quite a sight too.

A quiet nature reserve with areas roped off to protect nesting birds. A joy to walk the beach here where nature merges with a large working container port.

Great place to walk and see nature at it's best. Lots of birds do visit throughout the year. people come from miles to see something special. Dogs must be kept on leads in the nature area due to nesting in the sand. but further down walking in great dogs can go off lead towards the car park with the toilets.
