The only bit resembling a farmer's contribution was the fruit and veg stall and the flower stall which had beautiful flowers at reasonable prices. The rest was stuff you pick up at any flea market. The buildings in general are run down and in need of paint and the general area is unattractive. There was an interesting crooked building worth... More

Its mostly tut, but the fruit and veg stall is good and the snack cafe place, but the stalls sell mostly lookie likie tut or out of date goods. The market used to be better but it seems to have gone downhill a bit. Its ok if you want fake goods, out of date biscuits or general tut not really... More

The hotel staff recommend this market to us during our stay so we went to take a look. It was massive with such a wide range to purchase. Their were so many people their it was definitely a popular market so glad we went during our stay. Some lovely aromas coming from the food stalls definitely worth a visit

We were on a family special anniversary weekend revisiting old friends and places, and decided to go to visit the Market. Not as many traders as we remember, but worth a visit looking for a bargain. The flower stall was always our favourite with good blooms and prices to match, which helped us pick up a lovely thank you gift... More

Depressing. There were many more stalls on the market 25yrs ago selling much better quality goods. Maybe a sign of the times when every town has at least one "poundshop".

This market has gone downhill so much. I wouldn't visit it again as the stalls are full of junk that try to charge ridiculous prices.
