A visit to this place brings it home as to the dept owed by all sea travelers to these seamen. There also several examples of the type of boats they used.

This is well worth the money for a visit. Very informative and well displayed. Several of the old lifeboats inside and we were told the museum was constructed around them! Something for all ages.

You're very kind, thank you for your compliments. We do try to create displays that cater to all age groups- not an easy task as I'm sure you can appreciate!

Nice modern building with some excellent lifeboats on display, with lots of local stories and artifacts on display. There is a nice shop with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Not sure if its "interactive" enough for younger visitors, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thank you for your feedback, it's always helpful to know what our visitors like and where they think we can improve. We're hoping to introduce some new interactive elements and touchscreens in the near future, some hopefully for next year. Stay tuned!

We visited on a wet morning, particularly to see the Folk Art exhibition. The museum is well planned, and full of interesting facts and items. The Folk Art exhibition is excellent. Well worth a visit!
