Although we had had substantial rain in the preceding days they had managed to keep most of the site open. A lovely walk through the woods and some time in a hide made for a pleasant morning, we didn't see another person until we got back to the centre. We stayed for lunch and despite the fact that they had... More

We visited the site as a stop for lunch on a coach trip to Thursford. We were met at the coach by a very friendly gentleman who guided us to the restaurant for our meal of homemade mushroom soup and an impressive array of sandwiches. The gift shop was brilliant with items well priced. Unfortunately we did not have time... More

An interesting place to visit. The cafe and shop, plus viewing areas are ideal if the weather turns inclement.

We took 2 under 5s who thoroughly enjoyed their day. We had a lovely walk around the park; there were lots of sculptures and interesting facts which the children enjoyed looking for. The cafe food was superb. And the playground and indoor play centre were the best we have ever been to. It was a distinct advantage that being November,... More

Wow, what an amazing review, thank you so much. If you are thinking of coming again and again and again then we highly recommend becoming a member. Members receive 10% off in the cafe and gift shop, which is well worth it. We're working on ways to really engage with our members, even more next year, so now is the... More

Lovely grounds with an array of wildlife including a large variety of water birds. New children's play area is absolutely fantastic. Nice cafe for a light meal or coffee.

We've been to Pensthorpe several times and continue to go back every year. There are so many fantastic birds to see both wild & as part of their collection. Every year we seem to see something new. Definately worth a look

When our grandchildren heard we were taking them to Norfolk they wondered why as they thought they were in for a boring day out. Six hours after arriving at Pensthorpe we had to drag them away! Cannot fault this attraction - a wonderful adventure playground which kept our gang occupied for nearly 2 hours. Then there are the beautiful walks... More

Amazing place. Loved it and will return. The animals have loads of space - you feel like you're in the wild with them. The outdoor play area is fantastic and in rainy weather so is the indoor play area. We love it there.

Pensthorpe is a nature reserve that caters for all the family - grandparents to toddlers will all enjoy a visit. This is a great way to introduce children to enjoying observing the natural world - and is much more accessible than the more "hard-core" type RSPB reserves. Not that Pensthorpe doesn't take nature and conservation seriously - it does. Well... More
