What a great little pub in a great little friendly town.....School Reunion held here November 2nd....Staff were lovely, friendly and very attentive to our needs.
Thank you for the Lovely Food spread , it actually was nice for a Buffet offering and plenty of it for approximately 60 people...Thank you to Roger Jashek and the Greyhound...Good night had by all.

Went here for a quick pint when in Diss. Served no problem at all and beer good. Friendly place and decent atmosphere.

Nice pub but took ages to get served even though they weren’t busy. Quite a locals pub even on a Saturday night so we only stayed for one...

My son suggested an afternoon drink at either the Cock or the Greyhound.
Had not been to the Greyhound since ownership/management had changed so suggested there.
We arrived at the outside area at the back of this amazing Elizabethan coaching inn and my wife went inside to order drinks.
Looking for a place to sit some guy was vacuum cleaning his car so wanted to be far from that noise and sight.
Went into the corner to find a speaker blasting out football stuff.
Looked to sit elsewhere and you can’t escape the speakers.
It was too late, my wife was paying so we had to stay.
Not that it mattered stuck between the car vacuuming and the speakers, as we were. Or there to watch, but the TV was showing a different station to the commentary coming out of the speakers.
We had to move filled ashtrays.
A car can be cleaned but not the customer area?
Anyway, we just got on and enjoyed our get together thinking that the layout and TVs must have been good for the recent football matches.
Before we left I went to the loo.
As you walk in you are hit by an awful smell from whatever cleaning fluid they use.
It was like going back in time; a pub that does not think about it’s customers.
We had cycled past a packed Saracens Head outside area to this joke.
Never again. This was amateur hour.

Family
Visiting Diss on a camping holiday we were looking for a family pub to watch the football. After reading reviews and also receiving recommendations by one of the locals, we decided to head to the Greyhound . On entering we were told that children had to be out of the pub by 17:00. (Never before have I heard of this licensing law.)
I would not recommend this pub if you have children.

We have recently stayed for 4 nights in Diss and headed to the town on day one to find a welcoming dog friendly pub, First pub we went to The Waterfront not dog or people friendly at all. Stuck our head around the Greyhound door and all is welcome. No food but not a problem.
The guys here have taken on a massive challenge as just taken a pub on coming out of covid and they are just so welcoming and we hope they make a success out of it.
Bingo on a Tuesday and a quiz on a Thursday - such a giggle.
Hope it goes well guys - from the Duchess of Lincolnshire and her royal servants

It's okay if you are a regular but other than that not good the people who are regulars are young and cause trouble and the pub favours the regulars whatever the problem was they have a pool table so that's good

Really enoyed having a couple pints here on our short stay in Diss. The staff were kind and the regular crowd was friendly. You might get some side eyes if you're an out-of-towner, but everyone was welcoming and conversational. Will absolutely go again next time I'm in Diss.

Wednesday night is burger night with a buy one get one free offer! 4 or 5 different burgers to try all wonderful. Also very good beer.
I regularly recommend this place to the guests of my B&B and have had no complaints from them either.
