I did a 4 hour tour and found that to be just enough for my first time dogsledding. Most of the time was spent getting ourselves and the dogs ready to go, so one should be aware that the actual time dogsledding is a lot less than 4 hours. I’d recommend going for a full day if you want more... More

Dog sledges is a fun, especially in the northmost inhabited location ever. Svalbard Husky team picked us up in time by the hotel and brought to the office where we were offered a scuba-style overalls and huge warm shoes. It was very reasonable precaution and thanks once again. Then we went to the kennels to meet 93(!) huskies. Different colors,... More

My husky sled trip with Svalbard Husky was wonderful, and a once in a lifetime experience! Being able to meet the dogs, harness them, and witness their eagerness to want to get out in the nature and run was incredible! The sleds were of a traditional design which made the experience even more magical, especially with the reindeer skin seat... More

Did the basic "out and back" trip to test out my clothing and because I just love huskies so what better way to spend an afternoon? Really friendly company you get a sense right from the hotel pick up that these guys are really set on the customer experience - really good mix of professionalism and education they encourage you... From the very first contact with people from Svalbard Husky it had looked like this was going to be an incredible experience. Dogs are amazing! So eager and friendly :) The whole experience about harnessing, feeding them and run the sleds is extraordinary. Yes, you do some 'work', but that just makes it more genuine. Bow down to Svalbard Husky!

Dog sledding is fun on itself. However, try to go with another operator. The guides literally shouted at the clients in a couple occasions. It was very uncomfortable to receive such treatment when asking politely some explanations on the tour and the landscapes. You are not allowed to stop and take pictures. There is no break and you spend half... More

Hi, and thanks for your feedback. I have discussed your rewiew with our guides, and will try to explain a little, even without any of the guides being able to recall this trip in particular. The nature of the activity is quite intense and wild. Working with eager dogs, and people in interaction is really fun, but have some challenges.... More

We were picked up at our hotel, and drove to the place were the dogs lived. None of us is very familiar with dogs, and at first moment I was a bit worried when I understood I had to collect the dogs ourselves. But actually this was the best part!! The dogs were so friedly and easy to work with,... More
