We booked a private sunset jeep safari trip via our hotel (Stella Island). Gijs our tour guide picked us up from the hotel on time (7pm) and told us about what we were going to be doing on the trip. He was so lovely and chatty and told us a lot of information as we was travelling, we felt very comfortable and in safe hands. The vehicle was in good condition and clean and tidy.

The view up the mountain is amazing, it was good to see goats and sheep whilst making our way to the top. We stopped at the top to watch the sunset, this was about 8.30pm, we were given some drink whilst we watched.
It did become quite cold from then on, as we were told by the hotel I had brought a top to cover up using to keep warm, I would definitely advise to do so.

After the mountain we went to a local bar/restaurant in a small town to try some local food and raki. We spent the time with Gijs chatting and asking questions which he was so knowledgeable.

After this we were taken back to the hotel.

We both kept saying how amazing the trip was and we loved the whole evening, we would highly recommend the trip and will definitely be using Eye Travel next year when we return. We felt safe the whole time and were kept entertained. We are a couple and are the ages 29 & 34.

My boyfriend and I booked in last minute for the wine tasting and pottery making tour. I received an email back saying they could accommodate for us lucky as we only had one day left!
What an amazing day they had lined up for us. It was a private tour as due to Covid I imagine everywhere just isn’t as busy as usual. We first went into the mountains to taste some delicious wine and we were shown around the vineyard, even got to taste some grapes straight of the vine!! The tour was only 30 minutes which I appreciated as sometimes I zone out a bit when tours are any longer. We then went for a very authentic lunch in a non tourist village! Tanya and Louise kept, the tour guides, kept us company and ordered us some food we would never I’d tried unless we were with them! It was very appreciated. We then headed to the pottery making area of Crete and finally discovered how difficult pottery making is!!! Demi Moore and Patrick swayze made it look so easy... we were absolutely terrible but luckily the owner of the studio finished our little pot off for us and it will be something we treasure forever! Tanya and Louise were so welcoming, friendly and informed up on everything! I couldn’t of asked for better tour guides! Thank you so much guys :)

Thank you Louise for a memorable day helping us to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary, your knowledge of the area and local customs and people showed us a different and fascinating side of Crete. Thank you for making our special day extra special, we feel that we made a new friend. We consider ourselves blessed to have you as our guide.

Brilliant trip, we had so much h fun sitting on the back of the jeep and touring through the mountains off road. Our tour guide, Louisa, was excellent - she gave us so much information about the life in Crete, and was cheerful and happy for the whole day. We were also kept informed of any time changes in the run up to the excursion, which was great. Thank you so much to all the team for a great day! Have a good winter!!!

What a well organised tour. Loved the fact it was only 8 people in a minibus with our fantastic guide Francesca. Plenty of stops and all the right length. Trip over to Spinalonga from Plaka was short but lovely, and for us 1 hour on the island was plenty. The trip to the olive oil factory was also good with plenty of tasting. Would definitely recommend instead of going with a large bus/group. Thank you for a lovely day.

All you need is there, the only thing you need inm the first place all is a good spirit. Enjoy yourself.

We booked with this tour group as they had very good reviews , and I wanted to visit Spinaloonga .
The trip to Spinaloonga was good , the guide was multi lingual and very knowledgable .
However the boat BBQ afterwards was one of the worst things I have been subjected to on a paying trip .
They moored the boat on the dirtiest bay I have ever seen in Greece , told people they could swim further along , the scramble over the rocks was nothing compared to the filth of the " beach ".
Once everyone returned ( in disgust ) we were told we could only eat in the lower deck of the already over crowded boat .
The queue for food was ridiculous , people trying to eat standing up , and only a pork chop on offer , great if you don't eat pork , with a lousy salad and one cup of warm paintstripper wine .
Eye trips were in no way interested in my complaints , or willing to refund any money paid for the excuse of a BBQ .
Don't bother with people who can't be bothered to deal with complaints , there are better places to spend £80 !

My GF and I used Eye travel to book all of our day trips while we were in Crete. They were located right in town, very easy to find. We booked the following tours:
1) Chrissi Island (loved it)
2) Hike the Samaria Gorge (we missed this one as we overslept, had to be picked up at 5 am)
3) Jeep tour to the South of the Island (a highlight of our trip)
4) Santorini (beautiful Island, need more than 4-5 hours to appreciate)
Everything they set up was perfect, the buses showed up on time, they told us what to expect, and gave useful advice. The woman who helped us was so nice and patient as we had a lot of questions. We actually went back in a few more times during our stay to ask questions (sometimes with a different person working) and they always took the time to answer and give advice even if a sale was not involved. I would definitely use Eye Travel again.

We had two fantastic days with our wonderful guide, Sandra. She had great interpersonal skills and a sense of humour. We visited many places of interest and learned a lot about this wonderful island. The ability to visit smaller, authentic, local places away from the huge crowds of tourists was welcomed and appreciated. Would recommend these tours to all visitors to Crete. Look forward to seeing you next year...

Although some of the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful (Adriana), the boss of the company, Taina, is extremely rude and ignorant. Having enjoyed a tour with them,we booked another. We waited 40 minutes at our pick up point (having arrived 10 minutes early) but nobody turned up. We called and spoke with Taina, only to be told we cancelled the trip and that they had gone without us. Bearing in mind we certainly did not cancel, Taina called us liars. We still had our voucher and had no money returned. Still this boss person insisted we were lying and had cancelled our trip. We have been visiting this area for three years now and have never been treated with such disrespect. WE WOULD LIKE TO WARN OTHER VISITORS OF THE TYPE OF PERSON IN CHARGE - THERE ARE MANY OTHER COMPANIES WHO WILL TREAT YOU WITH RESPECT. A SIMPLE APOLOGY ADMITTING HER MISTAKE WOULD HAD BEEN ACCEPTED BUT IN FACT TAINA IS NOT A NICE PERSON.
