নীপা এস. রায় is thinking about all the good times with Arnab Debnath and 42 others at Mungerjung, Munsong. 9 hrs · Darjeeling · #Mungerzung or Mungsong - has the longest view of #RiverTeesta and one of the majestic views of the entire #Mt_Kanchenjungha range.Still so much undiscovered... It has also been a popular location for films like “Chalo -Let’s Go” but has been left out from the tourist map. Located at an elevation of 5000 ft. near the Kalimpong – Sikkim border on top of a hill, Munsong is a peaceful village with limited staying options but some of the best views of the Eastern Himalayas. On a clear sky day, u will get to have abeautiful view of the sunrise and the Kanchenjungha (much better view than of Tiger Hill ). Absolutely free from leeches...u can easily roam around harmless! Its very near about to Sillery (5kms) and Eechheygaon and few kilometres away from Kalimpong market. You can visit the Burmaik Mahadev Dham, Cinconha Plantation and Deolo View point and also shop frm Kalimpong Market. Staying options are limited...Very Lucky we were that the Homestay provided to us was at the verge of the mountain offering a lovely view of the Kanchenjungha from the hotel's room itself and the awesome Teesta flowing from below. It also offers a small viewpoint (pics given below) - personal to the homestay where u get a panoramic view - Darjeeling at one side and Sikkim on the other. There's a small open cottage area where u can sit and enjoy ur special moments all day long!
