A Peaceful temple, surprisingly without much of middlemen disturbance. The priests were explaining each and every thing about the temple and idols.

It is said that the Puri trip is incomplete if you have not visited the Lokanath temple, of Bholenath. He is considered a Pratyalhya debata as per Odiya saying and millions of people have a deep trust that if you visist Sri Lokananath baba all your problem gets solved.

The shivlinga is inundated in water throughout the year and mythological beliefs regard it as the guardian deity to the jewels and "Ratna Singhasana" of Lord Jagannath. It said to be "sthapit" by Lord Rama. Nice temple but prroly managed. Beware of Priests, the big time thugs.

This is where our great Baba left for his original home, and this is the reason I like this place very much. A must visit for all Lokenath Baba followers.

It's a big temple and a very peaceful pne. Loknath is considered to the protector. The pandas in the temple are quite ok compared to other temples. They never force the pilgrims. You have parvati sagar within the temple, where pilgrims wash their legs before entering the temple. There are small shrines for Loknath and Parvati. Must visit on the trip to Puri

My guide explained us that this was an important temple in Puri and took us there during second half of the day. When we were about to enter the temple a pandit called us with a book in hand and demanding donations. When we ignored him, he abused us and closed the door of the temple.
We prayed from outside and left the temple without having darshan due to rude behavior of panda. The temple complex requires lot of cleaning and temple management should concentrate on neatness and hygiene rather than fleecing the devotees

Mythology depicts that lord Rama did a Shiv-puja while on his way to Lanka, here. Upon not finding an equishaped object like the 'Shivalinga', he worshiped a water-melon as a Shivalingam. And that we know today as SriLokanath. Calmly located at one end of Puri, the transit may look awful a bit due to narrow roads, (please try a hand-rickshaw only to reach) but it's worth that pain to have a darshan of him in this holy shrine.Om Namah Shivaya.

This is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and falls within the temple circuit of Jagannath tempe. The premises is unkempt and dirty. Chaos prevails which can overwhelm you if you do not stand with yourself.

It feels bad to say bad about any temple but warning people and guiding them is correct for the visitor
The temple was not kept clean. Panda was attack you at the entry and forcefully start chanting some shlokas
Well, no matter how much you avoid 'Rudra' inside you or 'Bhairav ' inside you is sure to get awakened. They will bully in such a way that there will be no option. Shivling is kept in a trash of bananas , old flowers etc. Reason is not clear. I think priests are so busy making money and harassing people that they have no time for the God Shiva! God forgive but they do need such a feedback. Please be very careful and rude when you visit there.
