This place has a ticket value of 50 rupees. They have a very good collection of spiders and butter flies here. They charge money for every photo.

We had visited the Wankhar Entomology Museum during our sightseeing trip around Shillong. It is private museum of an outstanding collections of butterflies, moths and insects from different parts of this region.

Wankhar entomology museum is a nice private museaum located at ground floor of a private bungalow. They have really nice collection of butterflies from all over the world. As well as bettels and spiders.

Did this place on our way to our accommodation. Good experience. Going around the place. Liked it. as shillong is more about beautiful view points, do not skip museums.

A privately-owned museum of M/s Wankhar, Riatsamthiah, Shillong at a distance of about 2km from Police Bazar is the only known museum in India devoted to moths and butterflies.

The memorably named Wankhar Entomology Museum is a remarkable one-room display of pinned butterflies, gruesome rhinoceros beetles and incredible stick-insects in the home of the original collector.its really amazing.
