A beautiful temple on the highway while driving from Mandi towards Kullu-Manali. The actual temple is at the top of a small hill across the river. As per the legend, it was not possible to access the main temple easily and lot of accidents used to take place. The road and the terrain is tough to drive and vehicles used to sink in the flowing Beas River. So a replica of the original temple was made alongside the highway so that the travellers can visit the temple and be blessed for a safe journey. Now every vehicle makes a stop at this beautiful temple. I don’t know how true the old legend is, nor am I too religious but I do believe in the presence of the divine. This place gives you solace and restores your faith. So do visit the temple on your way towards Manali or while returning back and be sanctified.

I was very curious about this temple because each time when i visit Manali, Everytime our bus/car driver stop for one minute here donate some Rs. to the temple Hundi and then starts forward journey.so this time i decided to visit this temple.Temple is not so big but you can get the experience of divine power of Hanogi mata.two other temples are also present there exactly back cliff of Hanogi mata temple but to reach upto that temple you have to cross the river both roapway and boating option available for river crossing Roapway cost 25 RS./person and available round the year where boating only available in summers when water is shallow. other side of the river you can find firstly chamunda devi and from that you have to climb stairs which are equal to 500 meters in length then you reach to Saraswati mata Temple. Nice view of river and mountain from saraswati mata temple.

Its absolutely essential to visit this place while going and comming from Kullu. Believe me you will feel the positivity and blessed. Adjacent to the temple is a juice center which serves bottled juice and some local stuff.

Temple located in NH 21 on the way from Mandi to Kullu. It is on mountain cliff on the back of river Beas with beautiful view. The temple is very famous and all the drivers stop over for few minutes. Foot bridge on the river close to the temple is an additional attraction. Rope way is available for those who would like to visit another temple on the other side of the river.

As i read all the published reviews, they all have reviewed the Hanogi Mata Temple which is on the Mandi Manali Highway but the main temple is on the other side of river beas. I have been to Manali in February 2015 but that time i was travelling by bus and was not able to visit. A colleague from Kullu told me about this temple and the ropeway to go to another side.
So this time ...wen in April i again got the opportunity to visit the area... i planned for Hanogi Mata.. it is approx. 28 kms from Mandi. One temple is on the highway but the old and actual Hanogi Mata is on other side of river beas and you can go there by ropeway. Its a catchy attraction as located on Hill and seen from the Highway on other side and litl adventure too. Temple on other side wud give you the feel of its originality and old charm as there is little cave that is closed now and carvings on the wall.... all blissful.
If you are travelling by your own vehicle to Manali, it wud take only 30-45 mins to go to other side and visit and its quite convenient.
I recommend to fellow travellers to visit the place.

A trip to Kullu and Manali is incomplete without going to this most revered temple. It is on the highway and local legend says it is mandatory to stop here both while going and coming back. the original temple is across the river and can be approached by a trolley only. You can feel the positivity of the place.

This is a smll but nice temple on the way to Manali from Shimla near Mandi. The beleif of the local people including the cab drivers gives an impression that this temple has some legends associated with it. A look on the idol of Mata just gives divine pleasure to the hearts.
