It is a nice trekking terrain. You have to climb about 2 KM. From the peak of it, the view is mesmerizing. Only it is too cold. Get prepared with globes and sweater.

It is a beautiful place around 40 min to 1 hour from Dalhousie. After parking there is a small trek for the bill top. Everyone can easily climb the trek. Beautiful view from the top. The road to dainkund is also beautiful with amazing views.

We had my daughter 3.5 years along with us. It is an extremely easy trek with a solid path all along. There is sufficient parking space along the road. The views all along the trek are amazing. We went upto the temple and My daughter also walked all along. It was also written at the temple that there is Manimahesh viewpoint but due to clouds nothing was visible. We found Dainkund trek as the best part of our trip.

This point offers fascinating views of the entire valley. Real scenic beauty. The walk till the top is a bit arduous specially for senior citizens but it's worth the effort.

With multiple ways to get here, the easiest one is a short uphill path from the Dainkund Helipad base. Exciting trek suitable for family and friends as the walk was fairly easy. Reaching the top is worth-it with the mesmerizing views. A must-do trek if in Dalhousie.

We were two adults and two kids (11 years old).. Trekk is approx. 2 kms one way.. It was manageable even for the kids. This Trekk offers se breath-taking views of Himalaya.. You can have hot maggie/tea on the way. There is a small temple at the top. You can spend some time in the peace there..

Since kids wanted to touch some snow and it was difficult to get in the last week of March, locals suggested us to walk 5 mins further down side behind d temple.. we found some snow there:)..

Go for it! Don't rush! Take out three hours for this amazing experience !

I visited Dainkund peak in Dalhousie during our trip to Himachal Pradesh. It’s about 1.5 km tracking but good experience in cold winds. Must visit place and enjoyed snow peaked mountain views.
