It is adventure to visit to Uma Nanda temple. Start journey by small boat, then get down . At both places, there is no jetty. Hence, proper care is to be taken. After climbing some steps, temple is very good and ancient. It is worth to visit.

From the banks of Brahmaputra at Sukreswar ghat, this river island would definitely catch your eye when your eyes rove around this majestic river. Unless you are really keen on visiting every temple in Guwahati, avoid this place. There is nothing great to be seen or experienced here. For me it was a big disappointment and the humidity almost killed me!

A treasure chest hidden in the river island. View of the river from the top of the island is superb. It worth the hardships of crossing the muddy ghat and long stairway.
