Our trip was a little different to most as I had pre-planned a personalised 13 day tour of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh with hotels and points of interest and asked Grand Eastern Holidays to quote on the total price (including a driver).
Although a few of my selected hotels were exchanged with Grand Eastern Holidays preferred choices, the overall quality of hotels and homestays was very good.
Raktim contacted us several times during the trip to make sure everything was going well and met us near the end to introduce himself and explain his company.
The part that really made the trip special was the driver provided. We have used many drivers across India but Ajay was the best driver we have had.
He was always on time and had a great disposition. His driving (through very difficult road and weather conditions) was first class.
I would highly recommend Raktim and his team - especially with Ajay as your driver.

Mr. Raktim of Grand Eastern Holidays arranged a trip to Guwahati and Kaziranga for twelve of us from November 4th to 9th 2022. He has immense knowledge about these places and made our trip memorable by selecting beautiful places and resorts for our short trip. he is very accommodative and flexible.When we have complained about the mini bus, he arranged a new bus and a car for just for carrying our luggage without burdening us with extra cost. He didn’t say a word about that . He is so good. I am already planning my next trip to Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh through Grand Eastern Holidays.I recommend all my friends to go through Grand Eastern holidays when they want to visit North Eastern Parts of India.

We were a group of senior citizens travelling through a local travel partner Vaishnavi Travels from Bengaluru in November 2019. We were very lucky to have Grand Eastern Holidays to guide us during the whole trip of Assam, Aruncahal Pradesh and Meghalaya. Our tour guide Mr.Raktim Bezbora was passionate about his field and a fantastic individual. He had in-depth knowledge about the region, people, practices and traditions.His warm and welcoming demeanour put us instantly at ease and we knew we were in great hands.I have been travelling quite often and I have never come across a guide like Mr.Raktim who has immense patience in dealing with the tourists.I would strongly recommend Mr.Raktim and and Grand Eastern Holidays if you are planning a trip to the North Eastern part of India.

There is not a single word to say any negative thing about this trip. Every detail had been considered in the planning prior, right through to the very last minute of our time in Guwahati. Our hopes and dreams for the trip had been listened to and applied in every way. We got to see every aspect of Assam, Meghalay and Tawang both the well known areas but also the lesser known, off the beaten track like Chug Valley in Dirang, Kongthong village and Maw Sawdong Falls in Sohra. Not only was it the travel consultant Raktim who made this trip special but the driver Lachit whose knowledge and passion shone through continuously.
Rating for tour operator:
This is the first time we have used a tour operator for our holiday as this part of the country is lesser know to us. Grand Eastern Holidays have done such an incredible job I am not sure we could do another trip any other way with any other company. The effort taken to design and execute this itinerary is second to none - they listen and apply all their knowledge ensuring our trip meets all our needs.

We had 11 days in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam which showed the wide ranging wild life, landscape and cultural sites of this beautiful state from the tailored visits. Some of the selected locations for our stay added the diversity of agriculture, food and climate. After the trip we must say that we are very much happy with our tour operator. From the initial contact they were listening and changing the tour to suit our needs. They were further checking with our driver that all was progressing smoothly and that we were happy with the small changes to the itinerary during our stay.

Our recent tour to Tawang, Kaziranga and Shillong was everything and more than expected. It lived up to the Grand Eastern’s emphasis on culture, nature and comfort. Exceptional driver and the guides attended to our main interests and needs. Very enjoyable were boating in Umkot river and stay at Tawang Homestay and Bomdila homestay. The wonderful food quality and selection and the sites visited in Tawang and Shillong. It was all one could hope for in this part of the country and a strong inducement to do another grand adventure very soon with Raktim …

We were 4 ladies travelled to Delhi and Vaishno Devi in the month of November 22. All in our family were tensed when we told them that we have decided to go there without any experienced family members. Our main concern was the saffety as we all are female without much of a travel history. We approached Raktim da to make all travel arrangements. As a true professional he took up this challenge. First thing he did is he ensured us that yes we can travel without thinking much of all the travel hassles, safety odds and he will take care of everything means everything, right fron the tickets, connection, car and the driver, yatra parchi, hotels pick up and drop arrangements. Perfect for girls like us. We travelled had the Vaishno Devi of maa darshan, explored some of the rarely visited sites with the sense of security and guidance which never compromised the fun we had durint the trip. Grand Eastern Holidays organized a 10 days trip to North East India during December 2022 for my wife and I. They did a fantastic job right from the planning and implementing our trip. During the planning phase they were a delight to deal with and responded to our needs. Our trip was custom designed in order to meet our interests. This was no problem at all.
The driver they selected for the trip is the best. Excellent. Very informative driver with newer comfortable car. The local guides in Nongriat, Kaziranga and Tawang were very friendly and really "knew their stuff". The hotels were right in line with our budget and exceeded our expectations.
Overall they couldn’t have done a better job. If you want the best travel agency in North East India then the Grand Eastern Holidays is the one for you. Highly recommended!!!!!

Raktim runs a highly professional organization. From his web portal to drop off at the airport to fly home his attention to detail and his consideration for his clients is superb. We had a great time in Shillong and Kaziranga. And what else the kids love it…

Went on a 10 day father-son trip in Apr 22, covering gawhati, shillong, anrunachal, kaziranga. Amazing experience, a very good selection of properties, was slightly costly but worth every penny. Raktim was very accommodative for all our requirements and guided us very well. everything was as promised and detailed in the itinerary. Raktim was very patient to answer all our queries.

Go to grand-eastern webpage and leave a message they should get back to you quickly. I did a tour with them with my family and it was excellent. Went to Kaziranga and Tawang too not to Shillong, but I can only recommed them. Very helpful and professional. Tawang is quite a drive though but to us it was worth it. Safe travels, Uli
