Maati Centre is not only a space for non-profits to sell their handicrafts, it also enables artists to share their insights and craft through various initiatives and events.Chuck Klosterman had rightly said, “Art and love are the same thing: It’s the process of seeing yourself in things that are not you.” Chuck Klosterman had rightly said, “Art and love are the same thing: It’s the process of seeing yourself in things that are not you.”

Very helpful staff. Always there by your side to help you purcahse. Good variety of products. Deserves a bigger and a better shop. I am satisfied. Locals work as well from various parts of the country on display over here. May add more hidden gems of India.

A normal handicraft shop
Mar 2019 • Friends
We made an effort to get there but the place was disappointing. It sounded like there would be live pottery classes or pottery ware on display but nothing like its name at all. Though there were some hand crafted things but mostly just an array of colourful items on display .

Small collection of handicrafts from across India
Apr 2018 • Family
We thought there would be greater focus on handicrafts from Assam in particular, and NE India in general. But a little disappointed since it had a bit of everything from across all parts of India.

Good Place for Handicrafts
Nov 2017 • Couples
The Maati center is a nice place to visit if one is interested in shopping for local handicrafts. The shop is located in the basement, however it is maintained very well and all the items are displayed quiet artistically. We found the rates reasonable and picked up a few handbags and garments.
