Nice golf course and challenging for all players
Nov 2017 • Solo
I have been a member of Blackhawk Golf Club in the past and they have a great men's league. The staff and members are friendly and make it pleasant to visit. Prices are reasonable, around $35 for weekday play with a golf cart.

Scenic challenging golf course
May 2016
Blackhawk is a long time public golf course in the Columbus area. It has a scenic layout and can be very challenging due to the elevation changes and strategically located hazards. The greens are always in good shape. You won't find tightly mowed bentgrass fairways, but the the bluegrass/rye fairways and the course overall are well maintained. The pro shop and grill staff are very friendly and the course is a popular local destination. Definitely need a tee time Friday-Sunday. Best times to play are late morning early afternoon during the week.

Inexpensive Day Out Great Course
Apr 2015
Friendly staff and a nicely manicured course makes for an excellent day's golf. A challenging course with testing greens and bunkers but excellent fairways. Driving range available. Ample parking and inexpensive green fees with ample tee times available.

One of the nicest public coures in Central Ohio
Jun 2015
This is one of the nicest courses in central Ohio. A very complete club house with nicely kept grounds. The course is rolling with well placed bunkers. The creek comes into play on almost half the course. Large trees keeps your shots tough but doable.

Very Good Public course
This is a traditional tree lined golf course. It is well maintained and the rangers typically keep the pace of play moving. This is my "go to" course for a relatively inexpensive round of golf. A side note, the "Hawkdogs" are a highlight. The course has a practice range and a practice putting green, the pro shop is well stocked and the staff is helpful.

Great golf course
Jun 2014 • Friends
Full disclosure – the foursome that I golf with likes to play golf for the fun of playing golf. We look for nice well-maintained courses but at the same time, we look for affordable courses. We don’t play many of the higher end / highly manicured courses but generally stick with the smaller but still well managed and well maintained courses.

This is one of many courses in Central Ohio designed by Jack Kidwell. This is a challenging course with lots of elevation changes. The course is well maintained and well groomed. Blackhawk is one of the few courses with well maintained sand traps. Their bunkers are in better shape than most courses this summer.

Blackhawk is a public course but also sells memberships. So if you like a play 1 course a lot, it might be beneficial to look into their memberships. Weekday rates (M-W) are $20 walking or $30 w/ a cart; (Th-F) - $24 walking or $39 w/ a cart; and weekend rates are $29 walking or $44 w/ a cart.
