I have been a member for about 5 years now. I have never been disappointed in the cleanliness of this YMCA and courtesy of the staff! My favorites are the pool for laps and the rope machine! Just be sure to check the swim meet pool schedule to ensure you can use a lane

Love the Gahanna Y. Great atmosphere for all. Very diverse and welcoming membership. Don't have to be already fit to feel very comfortable there.

First membership at a y so I am no expert. This place seems like it will be good for the family. Staff is nice and its a really chill Enviroment. Way diff than an la fitness or lifetime. No Ronnie Colman wannabes or thumping music. People from all ages. 4 to 90. Seriously there was a 90 year old woman walking and carrying weights. Cool to see! Indoor Pool is nice and open a a lot. It's warm too. Not been to outdoor pool yet. Hours are kinda limited. They have a daycare that I have not used yet but was a reason for joining. Tons of equipment. Lots of nice cardio. Free weights decent. Stand alone pull up bar and dip bar are to rare to find today and usually empty. Squat rack empty a lot. Which is nice.

I started going to the Y when my health insurance offered Silver Sneakers membership. They have indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpool and sauna and a full range of classes and activities. Aerobic and strength equipment is well-maintained and usually available without waiting. Indoor track is 17 laps/mile and not good for running because of walkers in both lanes. This is a great place for fit seniors and those who are trying to be.
