Very inspirational setting for prayer and adoration to the Blessed Mother. I highly recommend if you have not visited this outdoor chapel before.

nice way to slow things down

If you're on a busy trip, take a half hour to visit this shrine and just relax and pray in the peaceful surroundings. You can walk the stations of the cross, though be careful on the uneven pavement. Nice sitting area around the shrine replica, where I assume they have Mass. Very nice to just sit and pray and be thankful. The gift shop was nice too

Quiet, Calm, Holy

Whether needing a meditative place to consider life, a solemn ground for serious prayer or an outdoor place for a walking rosary, Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine is an unlikely respite in the heart of industrial Cleveland. Beyond the sanctity of the grounds, and it feels sacred from the moment you walk past the little store run by nuns, the exact replica of the grotto in Lourdes where St. Bernadette saw the Blessed Virgin in a series of visions offers an eerily transformative sensation.
There is a font with holy water, though no miracle springs (obviously); but if you approach the stone facing, one has the distinct emotional pull of what happened in France almost a century ago. People leave flowers, candles, stuffed animals, notes and other offerings to the young girl and the Holy Mother in hope of seeing their intention finding special favor. People can walk around the outdoor area, following a path to where an outdoor stations of the cross has been erected. There is also a trail to walk and say your rosary.
This is not flashy religiosity on display, nor is it a reenactment of a moment in time. What sits in this oasis up a hill off a rushing Cleveland street is a place to feel the power of prayer, of God, of hope, of surrender and forgiveness.
A mass schedule exists when the weather allows. Being one with nature in this environment must be powerful. I have never attended service, however.

Wonderful Peaceful Respite

In the hustle and bustle of Euclid, Ohio area lies Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine. It is situated on the side of a hill and as you drive by you may not even notice it is there. The beauty lies inside the gates where you will find a small church, gift shop, grotto, peaceful paths that wander through the treed area that include the stations of the cross. The paths may not be easily accessible for some people because of the hillside setting. Even if you are not religious, the tranquility of the serene setting would still be worth the visit. Perfect place to pray, think, ponder, reflect.

Peaceful and spiritually uplifting. We walked the paths and became immersed in the beauty of each statue of Our Lord , Mary, and so many saints. The grotto is lovely and we left a candle burning with prayers for much needed healing. Met and chatted with a nun born in Madagascar, her gentle welcoming voice was so calming and reassuring. The grounds are beautiful and envelope you in tranquility. A perfect place for personal reflection, family faith time, or sharing a religious experience with a group of friends. Will definitely return in the fall.

Very peaceful and beautiful Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes
Jul 2017 • Friends
We went on a group outing for our prayer group, The parking lot is quite big and the church was very quiet and we had time for prayer. The gift shop had a wide variety of prayer cards, books, rosaries and medals. The Grotto was beautiful with a water fountain that runs over a pebble that came from the original Lourdes grotto in France. The woods surrounding the church has the stations of the cross which does require some walking and its quite steep. Overall we had a wonderful prayerful outing together..

Volunteer at the Gift Shop

I volunteer every Friday at the gift shop. It has been a very rewarding and spiritual experience. I have been able to meet many customers and listen to the stories they have about how many years they have been coming to the gift shop. I especially love working with Sister Margaret Mary.

I love this shrine. I try to visit a few times a year. There is so much to see and do - the chapel, the gift shop, stations of the cross via the walking path through the woods and on Sundays during the warm weather months, they hold outdoor masses at the grotto and serve breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria.
