We are visiting Cuyahoga Valley NP and started with the Beaver Marsh where you walk on the Towpath. Saw 6 painted turtles, one huge snapping turtle, wood ducks and a green heron, which I had never seen before. Lovely later in the day. Easy walking.

It's worth the short stop to see the marsh if you are visiting Cuyahoga Valley NP. You probably only need 30 minutes. It's a short walk from the parking lot. We saw a herring eating fish in the lake. Some lily-pads still had blooms.

They could use a little signage. Start walking on the path from the parking lot and it runs into the Towpath Trail. There is no indicator, but the beaver marsh boardwalk is to the left. Turn left and continue on the trail for a couple...More

We have a family of six (four boys 3-11). We spend a lot of time together outdoors as a family. This is a perfect trail for families with kids.

Really enjoyed this easy walk and boardwalk over the marsh. Just found the bikes zooming by very aggravating. No announced warning. When we are biking we announce passing on right or left. But you would turn and a bike would be there. Almost got hit...More

This area is wonderful and definitely worthy of spending some time exploring. There is a wide trail suitable for walking or biking. Marshes and wetlands are alongside the trail making bird watching enjoyable. Look for turtles as they will likely be seen. Boardwalk observation decks...More
