The Wilds was a great experience. We had Paula as a tour guide and we chose the Sunset Safari. It's worth the extra money. You get a good meal and really close up of the animals. I didn't mind spending the money knowing it went to help the animals and provide jobs for people that loved to be involved with... More

This is a good place to visit for the entire family. Certainly a hidden and developing treasure. We live in SW Ohio and had no idea this existed. We took the Open Air Safari Tour. The buses bring you on routes that take you near or through herds of a variety of endangered animals from around the world. The experience... More

The day we went it was raining for the first hour of the open bus tour, which was pretty annoying and they don't cancel for rain. If they DID cancel they say there are no refunds, which doesn't seem right to me. The animal enclosures were fantastic though in that they were huge, well maintained and secure. Because it was... I booked an enclosed bus tour counting on the air conditioning on the bus to help us focus on the animals and not the heat. Unfortunately, the air conditioning on our bus was broken and, as a result, we were sticking to our seats for 2 hours. There are two stops. We filled cups with free ice both times...that helped.... This was our first visit to The Wilds and won't be our last. We did the open air safari and I was able to find a coupon code online to get the tickets for $20 each which wasn't bad for a 2 and a half hour tour. We did take a small cooler which we were able to take on... More

We had not been to the Wilds in about 8 years. This time we splurged on the Open Air safari rather than the enclosed bus. We enjoyed it. My daughters (10 and 12) especially enjoyed it, but we probably will not splurge on this next time and simply do the bus. The open air bus is $30 a person, so... More

Visited The Wilds on a hot July day with wife and kids, ages 4 and 2. We did the open bus tour (2.5 hours) beginning at 10am. The site is huge and scenic- hard to believe you're in southeast Ohio at times. Our tour guide was friendly and informative and we were able to see some species of animals up... More

What an amazing, and REAL, safari experience! I can't believe it took me 30 years to visit since I'm from only about an hour away.. and I also can't believe a place like this exists in Ohio! The open air safari was awesome, I highly recommend it, and my boyfriend and I paid $30 total instead of $60 since we're... More

We visited The Wilds in Cumberland, OH for the first time. My husband and I are zoo members and got a nice discount on our admission. We rode the Open Air Safari bus and Connie was our driver. She has worked there for 9 years and she was amazing. She gave us her background on the animals, some of which... More
