Found information about The Wilds while investigating the Columbus Zoo. They are affiliated. Took the 2 hour bus tour, reservations required. Excellent up front views of the animals, many rare, and very informative narration.

The Wilds is associated with the Columbus zoo, but unlike any zoo you've ever been to. Because of the distance from home we decided to stay two nights, I highly recommend staying at Nomad Ridge in the two person yurts - think glamping. But there...More

I can't say enough about this place - truly an unexpected find in Central Ohio. Stay overnight in Nomad Ridge if you can - seeing giraffes strolling in the distance at sunset was priceless!

We stayed at the Woodland Yurts on Nomad Ridge. It was a one of a kind experience. There's a fire pit and a lookout area nearby which had binoculars we could use to see the animals. At night, it got a bit loud with the...More

We visited for the first time with our children. We splurged on the Wildside Tour, which was fantastic. I imagine it would be hard to do the regular safari tour after having done that. There were 7 of us total in the back of a...More

I wouldn't recommend it. The rides are very bumpy. The tours are all about 2.5 hours and are open-air too. I think the youngest we saw there was probably about 1.5-2 years.
