Fun Experience
Aug 2021
Nicely done restored historic village. Staff is helpful and friendly. Price is reasonable. Several restored buildings include a working blacksmith. Recreated one room school house. Several stores and a couple of restaurants. Please note the restaurants get very busy at meal times. We actually couldn’t get seated.

The restoration of buildings and businesses from canal day times is worth the detour . The whole tour is economical and the various businesses are pleasant to tour .

A Must Visit
Jun 2021
This is such a cute place. Walk around on a nice day, visit the shops and go to the visitors center first and get tickets for some of the buildings. Eat at the warehouse. Do the canal ride also.

History buffs will LOVE this! The village history was explained very well. The canal ride is a MUST. Great tidbits shared along the way. This community cares about it's historic past!

Fun to visit
May 2021
We went during the week, and it was not very crowded. Shops were clean, and staff was very friendly and helpful. Walk along the canal was very easy and interesting. Was not able to take the canal trip because it didn't open until Memorial Day, after our time there. Worth seeing!

Wonderful Park which you can use for free!
May 2021
It was a lovely day when we went to Roscoe Village. We weren't interested in looking at the shopping or the "craftsmen" at work so we just walked. To the left of the visitors' center is a large park with a nice hike/bike trail, a large soccer field and places to explore. One of the locks (Ohio & Erie Canal) had been drained and had hostas and grass added. Getting out I needed a little help, lol - but you need to be able-bodied because you have to climb the giant remnants (large stones) to get in and out. We walked to the Canal Barge area but it was closed for some reason. The shops looked really cute - and the historic homes were well marked.

History and Shopping
Sep 2020
We decided to tour this restored village. They had people dressed in period costumes to talk about the buildings like a house, school, Dr. office and Smithy. They also have some interesting stores to shop in. Due to Covid we wore masks and the shop keepers wore masks, but quite a few of the visitors walking were smoking and not wearing masks. We had a nice lunch at the Medbery Marketplace. The walking between shops is a little hard for someone like my sister-in-law who uses a cane. Would like to come back and spend more time one day. The cost to do the tours is minimal - $10 for Seniors, $11 for Adults and $7 for kids. Family rate is $32 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Call ahead or check website for current hours.

Walk Through Historic Roscoe Village
Oct 2020
My wife and I enjoyed a sunny morning walk through the Historic Roscoe Village in Coshocton. Several of the shops are part of a living historical tour - we didn't participate in the tour. The shops are quaint. The market store was of greatest value as it had tasty pumpkin bars that we purchased, as well as locally-made horseradish to pair with the chuck roast we had in the crockpot at our rental log cabin nearby.
