Came here with my 18 yr old son after a sporting event. Did not realize is was "Pride" day or weekend. Anyway, a more or less typical bar scene, not so much arts.

The lack of parking is taking its toll. Several small business's and galleries have gone out of business as of summer of 2018 but strides are being made to rectify the problem. Let's hope it's not too late. The District is wonderful, vibrant and growing.

Start near the Nationwide HQ building, then hit the north market then back to High Street and keep walking north. Shops. Candy. Food. Brew pubs. Trollies. A peddle wagon roaming bar. Exercise and drink at the same time. Again, something for everyone. Cheers!

Lovely area just north of the downtown. I number of fantastic restaurants and boutique shopping. Easily accessible although the sidewalks are really uneven and you have to pay very close attention walking.

I visited the Short North arts district and first thought of just driving through, but one only starts to get a feel for the area when you get out of the vehicle and start to appreciate the art, restaurants and quirky shops one by one....More

The arts district has a mobile website that you can use as you walk the street and can read about the art that is displayed. We spent a nice few hours checking it out, browsing the shops (my favorite was Karavan. Turkish lamps so beautiful!!)....More

There is not normally a charge for the monthly Gallery Hop event. Maybe you are looking at some type of fundraiser being held?
