Compared to years ago, the Short North is now a hip, fun, and vibrant place to visit. Galleries, restaurants, art and music on the sidewalk, people and energy. Parking can be challenging during Gallery Hop Saturdays, but with patience, can be achieved. Go, support the...More

A wonderful vibrant area adjacent to downtown. These days you see more cranes than art galleries. Still a very social area, nice restaurants and bars. A definite stop when in Columbus.

Let's build more new housing--great--as everyone wants to move to cities' downtowns again, but you cannot have a "Short North" as it started out with former parking lots becoming sites for pricey high-rises! The Short N is a fun place to visit, but I've stopped...More

Came here with my 18 yr old son after a sporting event. Did not realize is was "Pride" day or weekend. Anyway, a more or less typical bar scene, not so much arts.

The lack of parking is taking its toll. Several small business's and galleries have gone out of business as of summer of 2018 but strides are being made to rectify the problem. Let's hope it's not too late. The District is wonderful, vibrant and growing.

There is not normally a charge for the monthly Gallery Hop event. Maybe you are looking at some type of fundraiser being held?

During the day meters are available on side streets, However, don't park without a meter, You will be ticketed or towed. Also, I often go to the north market. You can park and shop there, and you get a certain amount of free... More
