We took the FREE Saturday (3:30) tour of the winery with friends. Along with about 20 or so others, winery owner Robin Coolidge took us on a very informative tour through the winery basement. He is very down-to-earth and covers everything you might want to know about the wine making process from grapes to corks, with a bit of humor thrown in along the way. The tour does run about an hour, so if you don't like the idea of standing that long this may not be for you. It helps that you can take a glass of wine along with you! I have to say that I left better informed and educated about the whole process. I'd seen some other reviews stating that the help was rude at times. We never ran across any of that. Everyone working there was very pleasant and very knowledgable about what they were serving you. After the tour they encourage you to grab a table upstairs and enjoy some wine tasting. We did that as well and had a great time. They have a small retail area and we just had to pick up some of the "govino" wine glasses they use at the winery. They are a stemless, clear, somewhat flexible plastic material with an indention for your thumb. Hard to describe, but really, really cool! In closing, don't let first appearances fool you. From the outside it looks like 2 houses were merged to form this "rinky-dink" winery, but the owner told us that it was indeed built as a winery before housing crowded in around it. It is what it is - a smaller scale family winery, but worth the free tour and friendly staff. Cheers!

I am so glad you had a good time at the winery! The tours are a lot of fun for me also, and I really try hard to make them fun and informative. Please come back and visit us again when you have a chance. Thank you very much! Robin

Please do not be fooled by the appearance from the outside as this winery is literally in the basement of their home. This place does an outstanding job on the tour and during the tasting. Brian took as much time as we needed to explain his processes and to answer all of our questions. He takes much pride in his business and it truly shows. He will share wine knowledge that you probably will not get from larger more commercial wineries.

The tastings were fun especially the wine cakes offered.

Highly recommend!

Thank you for your review! Sometimes a winery in someone's home can seem a little strange, but Wyandotte has been that way for 40 years, and we continue the tradition of small batch quality wines made right here. We are really glad you enjoyed your visit, thanks again!

We celebrated my husband's birthday in Columbus this past weekend. We had the pleasure of visiting the Wyandotte Winery and took the free 12:30 tour. It was so much fun! We gained so much knowledge about what goes into the wine making process. So interesting! Not to mention, the $1 wine tasting that we indeed took part in and came home with two bottles of RED wine, which is saying something for us typically only liking white wine. Thank you so much Wyandotte Winery for a wonderful time! We will most definitely be visiting you again!

We went to the winery tonight to listen some music. It was quite a long trip there got a little bit of food bought some wine. The lady behind the counter was very rude not only to me but to the other members of my party. So we went out to hear some music to get away from that lady. And the music cut off at 7 so we had to call our friends who are on the way to meet us and tell him to turn around. I had a glass of their Frozen wine drink I believe I spent $14 on the drink and it certainly wasn't worth that. Overall it's a bad experience not worth the trip and I would like to tell anybody that I know who is considering going there to save their money and their time.

I enjoy checking out local wineries when traveling. But I should have skipped this one... the Trip Advisor photos were not representative of the actual winery. It reminded me of a 1970’s home turned into a “winery”. The backyard/patio had a lot of junk laying around. Metal wind yard art was annoying, don’t bother if curious. Tried the Chardonnay and we ended up dumping it out. The women who served us was not the friendliest .

Thank you for your feedback, very sorry you did not enjoy. Wyandotte is a 1970’s home, but it was not turned into a winery, it was built to be a winery and a home and always has been. The TripAdvisor photos are of the winery, but we will review them to see If something Is not representative. We hope you will stop again and give us another chance.

We actually stumbled upon this place and were not disappointed. We had planned to just do a wine tasting but the staff was so friendly and welcoming, we stayed for two bottles of wine. The wines were amazing - you must try the Vin de Cacao (chocolate wine that is not very sweet) When the owner found out we were celebrating our anniversary she brought us out a special dessert. What makes this place so special is that the owners live right next door and are very involved in the winery itself - something rarely seen. You don't see the commercialism that see in other wineries. We want to say "Thank You" from the bottom of our hearts for making our day so special and we recommend to anyone who is in the Columbus area to stop by and check out this winery.

We want to say thanks to the Wyandotte Winery team for making our visit this past Saturday tremendously enjoyable. If the Columbus area had a “Best Kept Secrets List”, they surely would be in the top 10 on that list for our community. Our visit was very surprising to us as they exceeded our expectations not only with the quality of the wine but also with the warm and friendly atmosphere that they created during our tour, wine tasting, and conversations.

It appears to us that this winery has an exciting future as you continue to grow and prosper. We look forward to visiting with them in the near future. Be assured that we will promote Wyandotte Winery to all of our friends, neighbors and any individuals that value a quality wine all the while truly believing in their words that “You enter a customer, you leave as a friend”. I have been wanting to visit Wyandotte Winery for the last two years since I realized it existed. I finally checked it out last week for my birthday and I had a great time. Wednesdays they have free food to snack on. It was just hummus, guacamole, chips and crackers but good non-the-less. Since it was my first time there, I did a tasting of six of their sweetest wines. I really liked the wine with the chocolate notes. I also had the wine cakes trio which I loved. They gave me the cake on the house since it was my birthday. I look forward to returning because the staff was wonderful. I had the best experience and the wine was pretty darn good. I plan to check out one of their events soon.

The winery is only about a mile from the Easton Town Center. We have been on a winery tour there and also one of the monthly cookouts. Both were WONDERFUL, FUN, and MEMORABLE times for us and our friends! Robin and Valerie are really nice and make you feel like family.

I'm not much of a drinker, but enjoy visiting wineries on vacation.
If you have a chance go to the Wyandotte Winery on a Saturday. They have a free tour which is incredibly interesting and explains many aspects of the winery business.
After the tour there is a grand tasting where you can sample all of the wines currently available for only $10. When I was there 14 different wines were available, so it was a great deal. I wound up loving a couple of wines that I probably wouldn't have thought to try. In addition to typical wines such as Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon, Wyandotte offers wines made from apples, blueberries, raspberries, and pomegranates.
While the wines were enjoyable the staff really made the experience. They are a small winery and you can tell that everyone who works there really loves it and cares. I'd strongly recommend taking time to visit this fun winery.
