    Very good experience
We did their satellite experience in Medina with hawks, falcons and owls. It was, you should excuse the expression, a hoot! Lots of educational information about the history of the sport and the birds. We had a group of 9 and everyone enjoyed themselves. The actual falcon flew to each participant 6 times, and everyone also personally interacted with an owl and a couple of hawks. It was a lot of fun, and took almost 4 hours from start to finish. It was the kind of unusual experience that I would recommend to anyone. They said for insurance purposes they worked with age 9+, and our group ranged from 16 to 69. It was certainly worth it.

    Excellent!
Ohio School of Falconery is amazing. Joe takes the time to educate people about birds of prey in a very interactive way. He is great at tailoring his talks to age group, experience, and knowledge. Holding the birds is a huge plus!

    Great Experience!
We enjoyed our experience at Camp Kern! Loved learning about a brief history of falconry and about all of the raptors we got to see! It was pretty awesome to hold Henson to have Irwin land on the glove. Joe was an excellent presenter and made it fun and educational for everyone! I will definitely do this again!

    Amazing experience!
Our family (parents and adult children) participated in the Walk with Hawks program, and we had an amazing time! Our instructor Shawn was funny, engaging, and informative, and all of the birds we were introduced to were stunning. What a unique experience to take a walk through the woods Irwin flying along with us, and to have him fly to us was so much fun. We also enjoyed holding Henson! Our family loves nature and wildlife, and it was really special to have the opportunity to get up close and learn more about these beautiful birds. Thank you for a wonderful experience, we really appreciate what you are doing!

My amazing Owl Encounter with the Ohio School Of Falconry
We attended the “Owl Encounter” in June 2023 and what a wonderful learning experience it was, very informative! We got to see each owl up close, we watched them fly and we even got to hold an owl! We took tons of pictures and videos! They answered all of our questions and we learned all about the different kinds of owls and about those that can be rehabilitated and returned to the wild. I highly recommend this amazing unforgettable opportunity. It was one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had! I’m definitely going to sign up for some of their other programs! Next up…falcons!!

    A Unforgetable Encounter
We did Walk with the Hawks, which required some quick thinking on Sean's (the presenter) part when it started to rain and the hawk didn't want to do his bit in the rain. We were able to interact with the buzzard, falcon, and owl along with the rain-phobic hawk. Learned a great deal. Did reccommend to friends. This is probably not a good class for children unless they love birds of prey and this is the only thing they ever wanted in their life. Ages 11 and up would work. Keep in mind this is a two hour class, so judge your child's attention span appropriately. Getting to the place, which was in the Mary Ortman camp is a little tricky. Watch for signs.

One of the coolest places in Ohio!
By far one of the coolest places I've been. The knowledge and professionalism is outstanding and watching the falconers speak of their passion is truly amazing. I highly suggest this place, I learned and saw alot!

    Walk with Hawks
This was a wonderful experience. Joe did a wonderful job at educating both young and old on hawks! We enrolled in the Walk with the Hawks class. My husband was a participant and I was an observer. Now I am jealous that I didn't enroll myself as a participant. The experience is well worth the money. There were two 12 year old children and Joe was very good at making them feel special. Recommending this to everyone - especially anyone interested in nature. Ohio School of Falconry is a hidden gem in Ohio. Enroll now!

A must do for bird lovers
This is the coolest thing I've done in Ohio! Sean lead our Walk with Hawks class and he was entertaining and informative. This was so much more than I expected when I signed up and well worth the cost. There were multiple birds brought out and we were able to get a good look and ask questions at all stages of the class. The bird flight is a highlight of course but my favorite part was meeting Henson the Eurasian Eagle Owl. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who has an interest in birds or the sport of falconry, I would do this or any of their other experience in a heartbeat.

Raptors in Ohio - a must see!
My wife and I participated in the Falconry 101 class on 9.10.23 at Camp Kern in southwestern Ohio. We had a great time learning about raptors. Sean is a falconer who led the class - very informative and entertaining. The highlight was Reebe (Harris Hawk) flying to our gloves. Henson (Eurasian Eagle Owl) was spectacular too. An awesome experience - checked off our bucket list!

Joe instantly made us feel at ease and valued. He had us laughing throughout! He took the time to get to know each of us and to answer all of our questions. He was very knowledgeable and my group learned a lot! Not only did we get to fly a hawk to our glove, but he made sure everyone got their money’s worth by taking longer than the allotted time and allowing us to fly the hawk to our glove TWICE each, see a few other falcons/hawks, and hold a Eurasian Eagle Owl for a photo op (which was unexpected). This was a major bucket list item for me - ever since I fell in love with red-tailed hawks, I was dying to hold one… and the Harris’ Hawk was a beauty. My whole group agreed it was incredible and one of the best days we have had in a while. Thanks Joe!

We had such a great time with class. Joe started us out and then Stephanie took over and both were knowledgeable and entertaining. Stephanie says she has ADHD and is a bit bouncy, but it was cool to see how calm she was with the birds. I bought the tickets as a wedding gift for my husband who was the participant and he loved it. We are discussing coming back for the walk with falcons.

My wife and I really love owls! This adventure did not disappoint! We learned a lot of really interesting facts about many different owls. Then we got to see the owl fly from one perch to another making a great photo opportunity. We each got to hold a different eagle which again made for some wonderful pictures. The presenters were knowledgeable and fun!

Was an amazing experience. They were very accomodating. I participated in the photography event Feathers and Fur. If you enjoy photography and want to get up close to raptors and wolves I highly recommend this. The groups are small and the people presenting are very knowledgeable.

This activity was awesome despite the near 0° weather. Normally that type of weather (with snow!) would ruin an experience but we found this one so fantastic that the awesomeness still way overflowed after the weather was taken out. Although the raptor we flew was a desert bird he was still very responsive even though he was cold. The weather didn’t seem to take a toll on anyone.
Our guide was cheerful and fun, she playfully answered our comments and guesses. She was pretty disappointed when we couldn't find a rabbit, as she us to wanted to see the birds hunt .
The interaction with the birds was breathtaking. They swooped down to land ever so gently on your glove. Equally awesome was holding them. especially so with the owl he had red eyes and gorgeous feathers. The flying was extraordinary.

All in all I consider it the best birthday present that I have ever received. After this experience I wanted to be a falconer

We had such a fabulous experience at the Ohio School of Falconry. Highly recommended. Great education, and a super hands on experience. These falconers are clearly passionate about their work and it shows through their classes. Can't wait to come back for more!

Every part of this experience was AMAZING!!!....
Very educational and being in contact with the birds... up close and personal!
I was worried about 10 people being in the group, and that we would be rushed through the experience. It was totally the opposite! Joe gave us all the time we needed to ask questions and get photographs of everything we did. Our 1 hour event was 3 1/2 hours long! So don't plan on an hour when you book.... plan on being there a while and enjoy every minute of it! Well worth every penny spent. We plan on doing it again!

My husband and I had an excellent experience. Learned a lot about these beautiful Raptors there habitat and getting to see them up close. The best parts I was able to see a beautiful hawk fly to my glove for a treat and hold a 5.5lb eagle owl. We would love to do it again. Highly recommend.
