We saw Jason Mraz and friends last night at the Palace Theater, but it felt like we were seeing the show at a really large and wildly expensive local bar. The ushers did NOTHING to maintain crowd civility (LOUD talking during the show), illegal recording...More

So the looks of the theatre is beautiful, staff is friendly but that is where is stops for me. Walking into the theatre, they have a bar right at the door so getting through is almost impossible. The worst part was getting into our seats....More

The Palace is a beautifully restored gem! Comfortable with good seating. Views are great unless you’re behind a big watermelon head guy! He did at least remove his hat when I asked. Our last show was Joe Bonamassa. Great acoustics and stage setting. I like...More

We saw a comedy show here. Our seats were in the top row of the balcony and we still had a great view. It’s a great venue for any show!

Saw Chicago starring Eddie George. This is a fabulous venue to see Broadway plays. It's a gorgeous theater, great acoustics, good sight lines. Would highly recommend.

An old beautiful movie theatre with side balconies & roomy, comfortable seats. A concert place now with no bad seats.

I really enjoy going to the Palace Theater. It's not as nice as the Columbus Ohio Theatre, but it's a great venue for a show. I saw Darcy Lynne there last week and it was a great venue for that show. The lighting was good,...More

Have seen many shows here - most recently Chicago. Theater was very crowded this night and traffic around the theater was a nightmare but the show was great just the same.

Quick Hotel Question... (3 Replies)
My boyfriend and I will be in town Feb. 26-28th. I was looking at places to stay and thought that the German Village Guesthouse looked wonderful. My question though is how far is it to get from there to the Palace Theater--we have a show there on Friday night. We would have a car but since we are unfamiliar with the area would rather not have to drive. If it is far--does anyone have any other hotel recommendation--for around $200 a night?

It would be a doable but long walk. About a mile and a half each way. Downtown Columbus is fairly safe but there aren't a lot of people out and about in the evenings, so it might not be the most comfortable walk late at night. It's pretty simple to get from German Village to the Palace by car, and at night you should have no problem finding parking downtown. Garages are pretty cheap compared to most larger cities, and most meters stop at 6PM. So if you really want to stay the the...More
Timing sunset visit to OWO (4 Replies)
We will be at the Palace Theater on a Sunday for a 3:00 pm matinee that ends at 5:30 (according to the website). I'd like to see the sunset from OWO which will be at 6:30 on our date. So...is it doable to purchase 6:00 tickets for OWO considering subway transportation from the theater to OWO? If we are a few minutes late for our entrance to OWO is that ok?

We love Legends in Concert. It sounds tacky, but they do a very good show. If interested, you can get tickets by visiting a condo. Get tickets in advance and sit close. In October, I went to Legends in LV, thinking it would be bigger and better. Wrong. the MB Legends is much better. We also like One. Good variety show. Might want to try the shows at the Palace Theater. The MB Pelicans (Braves A franchise) is always fun. Broadway at the Beach is fun to walk around and shop. Don't...More
