We were lucky enough to have a day without the toddler and decided to visit Breakout and do the mystery mansion room. John was our game master and was very welcoming. The mansion story, props, and puzzles were so emersive that we felt like real investigators. John did a great job with helping us, he gave just the right amount of information so we still had to think and the answers were not being handed to us. We will definitely be back and bring our friends too!

Our family recently booked an escape room at Breakout Games in Columbus, Ohio. This is our second escape room, but first one at Breakout Games. We did the Museum Heist, it was very challenging and we did not manage to make it out in one hour. However, we had a lot of fun trying and the clue giver Maddy was very helpful. We will go back and probably bring a few more helpers with us next time. It was so much fun and thanks for the experience! Would highly recommend that anyone passing by Columbus stop in and give it a try. I think next time we might try the Runaway Train, I will let everyone know how it goes!

We had a wonderful time here. Our game master Hailey was awesome, very attentive while only giving clues when we asked. We did Do Not Disturb, which had many things to do. While we were only a small team of two, a group of three or four would be good for this room because while it is physically small there is a lot to be doing. The puzzles were wonderfully thematic and interactive and far more interesting then simply solving numbers combinations for locks, though there was that too. It was all around a great experience and next time we’re in the area we will definitely be stopping back.

This was my third visit to Breakout and I would definitely go again. My friends and I did the Kidnapping room and even though we did not escape (we were sooooo close) it was a lot of fun. The clues are intricate and our game master Katie was awesome. She made us feel completely at ease while we were being handcuffed while we were blindfolded. I will continue coming back to Breakout due to their amazing staff and their rooms.

This was my first escape room experience, so for me, I can't pick a favorite part. It was all so much fun, and our "big brother", was Austin. He was very good at his job, explained everything, and made sure we had a great time. We were in the Wild West room, and he was encouraging. While he was able to give us some clues (when we ALL agreed to get one), he was helpful, but never gave up the answers. Some tips for others interested in going to an escape room, Remember the clock never stops until one hour is over, so when you need to find clues, stay calm, but work fast. Check the website and see if theres a limit on the number of people in a group. You could either end up with a few strangers, or have enough people going with you so everyone in the group know each other. Just make sure they are the ones you want to be stuck in a room with for an hour, unless you solve it sooner. I think we'll plan on going again, but with just the girls. ** FYI, it's a little hard to find the building since it sits back off the road, and we had three cars in our group, and we all past it up. It would be nice to have a bigger sign at the road and on the building, or make the signs bright/colorful.

It was so much fun. Ashley was our helper and she did a spectacular job. We should of asked for more hints earlier. Her hints were very helpful and I ask for her next time. This was our first time and I loved it. The location is easy to find. We had a 7 and 12 year old and they were able to participate.

For one the flash light that was provided for seeing led letters and objects was not working. This was an issue more that halfway through the escape. We asked out instructor for a hint and he mentioned something about letters that could only be seen with this light. Which ours was not working. So all long we would have and could have seen more hints but with faulty equipment that made things impossible.

Room was very dark. We had a tiny piece of paper to read and with the very dim lighting and super small font, it was impossible. Two things were broke in the room so the game master had to tell us what the puzzle answer was. To many of the puzzles revolved around pictures of people and birthdates which got boring after the 2nd time. The game master was not welcoming although she was not rude either. Just seemed very rushed.

Really fun room! My wife and I escaped from Do Not Disturb in ~52 minutes. Creepy atmosphere (but not overly scary), smart puzzles, and you really have to pay attention. Tate was a great gamemaster, providing the right level of hint but mostly letting us figure out.

This was our first escape room and we will definitely be back. we chose kidnapping and it’s pretty difficult for your first time but we didn’t use many clues which killed us in the end 😂 Luna was very helpful and explained our clues very well. We’ll definitely be back!
