My friend and I had a great time exploring the Allardale Park and Weymouth Farms. We learned a lot about the area and especially enjoyed the "behind the scenes" opportunity in the orchards. The Asian pear was outstanding!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Naturvation. We never would have found these spots on our own. Our guides were attentive to every detail from transport to facilitating conversation with our fellow group members to sharing historical context of the places we were visiting. I would have walked by the same rock 1,000 times and not noticed the fossil, had our guide not stopped to point it out. Thank you for giving us an active nature-vation day out. We'll be back!

I highly recommend NatureVation Outdoor Adventures for anyone seeking a fun, unusual, excursion. I couldn't believe Elaine's attention to each detail to make the afternoon so special. From the hot towel in the beginning of the afternoon, to the wine tasting finish of the day, everything was a delight! I enjoyed learning about the area, experiencing nature first-hand while hiking, being challenged by the trivia game, and intrigued by the history – there is so much right here in our own back yard that we need to experience! Our picnic was just at the perfect time, complete with hot soup, coffee, fruit, cheeses, salmon, and other delectables, as we “re-fueled” for the second portion of our hike. We concluded our day at a wine tasting and chocolate pairing! My typical Saturday is bills, laundry, and computer catch-up work... For a delightful few hours, NatureVation took me out of my world to be in the world.

Elaine told us that there's no such thing as 'bad weather' only 'bad attitudes' or 'bad clothing'! Even though it drizzled a bit on our autumn hike. We were well prepared with 'layered clothing'. Spirits were high! Elaine and Gordon attract very interesting folks, so each of the three trips I've been a part of have been engaging. Indeed Elaine and Gordon keep the conversations scintillating, for one, because they each have a storehouse of knowledge about geology, horticulture, land formations, history of Ohio and more. Even better they know how to elicit conversations among, often, totally new acquaintances, and by the end of the day, you have met some great folks. The gourmet foods, served lavishly, even at a picnic table, seem to come at just the right moment, for example, after a healthy hike. I highly recommend an afternoon spent with Nature Vation!

Took this option at a Company Event. We walked through a Medina County park, did some birding, some fishing and ended with ice cream. GREAT way to spend the afternoon. Would be a great team building or networking opportunity as you have plenty of time to stroll along and chat while enjoying being outdoors.

I want to give a HUGE thank you to Elaine and Gordon of NatureVation Eco Tours for a FANTASTIC and extremely well thought out, guided hike to the beautiful Brandywine Falls and the Spicy Lamb Farm! It was such a pleasure to meet new people all the while learning about Ohio history, landscape and life on the farm. I especially enjoyed sheering my FIRST sheep, and the food and beer tasting that was arranged for us at the end of the day! I appreciated the thorough communication beforehand about what to expect, and invitation for any concerns or limitations/restrictions that we had, dietary or physical. I can't wait for my next NatureVation trip!!!!

NatureVation is a unique and creative company that I had the pleasure of stumbling upon. When I was asked to provide a group of my colleagues with a team building activity in Cleveland between the hours of 7am and Noon, I was flummoxed. Where do I begin? I Googled and called a million places and nobody could accommodate our group in those hours with something worth while and memorable - until I found Elaine at NatureVation Eco Tours. Elaine was incredibly knowledgeable and flexible and came up with 4 ideas within a day. NatureVation takes care of every last detail so you can relax and enjoy your adventure. The setting was perfect, transportation, food, activity (Frisbee golf) and games. Everyone had a great time and nobody wanted to leave. I would highly recommend NatureVation for your next adventure.

My wife and I loved our NatureVation trip to the Ledges in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. We are experienced hikers, but Elaine and Gordon provided a much more enjoyable trip than we could have put together ourselves. They are very knowledgeable about parks and the outdoor adventures to be had in Northeast Ohio. Our trip included beautiful vistas, interesting historical background about the places we visited, fun detours to hidden pathways, and a delicious gourmet picnic after we had worked up an appetite hiking. I would recommend these trips to anyone from beginners to experienced adventurers.

I visited Cleveland for the Memorial Day weekend and had a fabulous ride and tour of part of the Ohio Canal and a visit to nearby Washington Park, all in the Metroparks. Elaine and Gordon are super guides and organizers!
The highpoints:
* Getting to the park was a piece of cake since we all met in Shaker.
* The bikes and helmets were perfect and all set.
* Riding along the canal, with blue herons and wild flowers galore, was like riding along the Seine in Giverny. Who would know?! And I love the historic notes of how Cleveland and Ohio grew, first with the canal, then with steel and aluminum.
* The picnic at Washington Park after the ride was a surprise treat! It turned out to be the perfect day for a cold beer or soda.
* Hitting golf balls at the Washington Park driving range was fabulous - none of us knew golf at all, and all of us could do it!

Elaine and the crew were great. Lots of facts on the landscape from Shaker Heights to Cuyahoga Falls. It was a lovely day and we learned a ton about the landscape and land management. A wonderful day. Great food and company. Will do it again and take family and friends.
