My hubby and I were going to enjoy a play but we were a little late and couldn't enter the theatre but we were notified that The Verb Ballet would be performing in 25 min. and there were still a few seats available so we bought two tix, $12 ea. this theatre is a smaller version of the theaters in The Playhouse Square neighborhood, just beautiful but needs some updates. We had never been to this theatre before but parking was easy, street parking, not sure if there are any lots near by. The seats are not assigned so since we were early for the ballet, because we were late for the play, we had no problem finding seats but the closer it got to show time the more difficult it was for couples to find seats together, so come 15-20 min early. The theatre is relatively small, we sat in the back row and we could see everything perfectly. I think there were maybe 12-15 rows and it is like stadium bleacher rows but not stadium bleacher seats. There is a snack area that sells beer, wine, coffee, sodas, water and prepackaged snacks. They have a few tables in here as well. Really lovely place in a great location. There are great restaurants, bars and an excellent old fashion ice cream parlor down the street you can walk to after the performance, called Sweet Moses.
I would have taken more pictures if I knew this was the first review, I will add more the next time I go.

If you've never ventured beyond Playhouse Square, you've missed a huge chunk of the theatre community both within Cleveland and its outskirts. Cleveland Public Theatre definitely should be on your radar... check out the website for current shows and also to see the amazing community oriented programs they have. Besides developing actors, they are also involved heavily into developing new playwrights. Check out their bilingual productions (currently Spanish/English and Arabic/English) as well as their amazing events, including Dia de los Muertos. Also remember to check out their schedules... right now, Mondays have deeply discounted tickets!

This is an amazing and timely show. The actors were wonderful and the topic very poignant.
A must see.

A group existing on sin tax putting on productions about inequality which only the equal can afford to see. While the cast seems enthusiastic, it's actually the level of energy required to sell the usual accusations of institutional something. Remember when plays discussed the common joys and problems every person faces in life? Relationships, love, sorrow, life and death. Inge, Williams, Shakespeare. You won't find that here.

The theatre is an old place, looks to be saved from the bulldozer. The fact that it is somewhat in a state of disrepair makes it unique. It is perfectly good theater just not refurbished...its in a state of almost incompleteness. The shows I have seen are kinda off the wall things. worthwhile if a certain shows topic intrigues you.

unique productions. Great way to see dance. Perfect date night. Fun nightlife in the neighborhood. Trendy but all ages feel comfortable. Casual. Cool. Laid back but still a nice night out.

This is such a cool, artsy, casual, unique place to round out the arts community in Cle. Never pretentious. Laid back but still feel like a nice night out. Hipsters and older couples alike feel welcome here. Great location, great neighborhood to hang out for food, drinks, dessert, coffee before/after the show.
One of the venues to check out Verb Ballets, local professional dance company.

You are welcomed at the door of the theater and invited in. Just the beginning of a lovely, intimate entertaining experience. A variety of ticket options offered. Front row tables or theater seating. Either way they include you in the fun. Will Call lets you order tickets for pick up.
