I’ve been to a dozen or more comedy clubs across the US and this one is now my favorite. The room was big and airy with great sound and awesome sight lines. Food was reasonably priced and delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. If it is your first time coming here; note that 4th Street has many food options for before and after the show. Great time!

I've been to this venue twice and enjoyed both visits. The place is huge and there is no bad seat in Hilarities (unless you are under a speaker but I'll get to that later). They have tables and front-facing booths on the main floor and they have a nice balcony that also provides a great view of the stage. The food we tried (flat bread pizza) was pretty good (although way too salty).

The whole venue seems to be handicap accessible. They have an elevator, which is great for people with mobility issues.

The staff is friendly and the bathrooms were clean when we visited.

Now, about those speakers....we were seated under one on the main floor near the back of the room and the sound was DEAFENING! Before the show, they were blaring horrible, loud music and it was unbearable. Both people on my party left with migraines. I've been to rock concerts and stood in front of speakers without a problem. This was ABNORMAL noise and there is really no excuse for it.

Other than that, I enjoyed the venue.

We had a great time. We saw Sinbad and thought he was amazing. He was riffing the whole time1 What a talent. The tickets were very reasonable too.

My friends and I won tickets to a show the other night. The two-item minimum was not explained to us before we attended the show and we had eaten out at another restaurant. Ten minutes into the show, the manager approached our table, stood in front of me (blocking my view), leaned in so that his face was 6 inches from mine, and said that we were being asked to leave because we had not yet ordered anything from the menu. We were minding our own business and were not looking for a confrontation; we were extremely disappointed by the behavior of the manager. His attitude and conduct were unprofessional and certainly not the way to welcome a new person like myself to Cleveland. Such a shame, because the little I heard from one of the opening acts was quite funny before the manager stood in front of me.

First off, this place is a structural gem. It's very well maintained and vibrant. The comedy acts are beyond outstanding!

What I had a problem with is the seating/hostess staff. We purchased a premium table seat and arrived about 45 minutes from showtime and were seated in the front end of the stage. We were so pleasantly happy with our seats and ordered food and drinks which were supplied quickly and with a friendly attitude from the wait staff.

About fifteen minutes before the show, I got up to use the restroom and when I returned, my husband was moved to another table with another couple. I was not pleased and asked my husband why they moved him from our table and put another couple in our seats! He was told that they put us in the wrong seats. Really? It took you guys that long to figure it out?

I asked our server to inquire why this was so and to bring a manager to answer my question. After 10 minutes of waiting, I got up and asked another staff member to get me a manager to answer this question. By this time, the show had started and I was still waiting for answers.

10 minutes later I was informed that it was the hosts fault for putting us in the wrong seats. (Say whaaaa?) and that the 'two seater' tables are for other guests and my ticket was for a 'four seater' table. I was thoroughly confused by this point and asked why, after fourth five minutes, were we asked to move? After drinks and dinner?

Apparently, when you purchase premium table tickets, you might have to sit with others at a 'four seater' table. Utter nonsense and nowhere on my ticket stub was this ever noted. Now, I wouldn't mind if we had to do this, but to have to move midway through our meal? I raised a stink because it was their fault and got at least my drinks comped and were seated further back in the high-back seats, one row back from the tables.

Although the act was amazing, the organization and lack of customer service is appalling. I would not go back here and spend money on a table seat that you have to move mid-way through the act because of the staff's incompetence.

Never again.

We bought our tickets 3 hours before the show and were told to come early to get good seats. When we arrived at 915pm the earliest time you can arrive we were seated in the back even though the whole floor was empty.
I asked to sit up close and was told all the floor seats were previously sold.
Why did you tell me to come early to be seated in the back? Oh I know why. To suck all the money out of me you can with expensive drinks.
Thanks you hilarities for being shady dishonest jerks.
The manager that day us wasn't even nice. He said you can sit here or leave with no refund. That's the kind of customer service I clearly came to Cleveland for.
Won't ever be back. There are other comedy clubs on Cleveland

I was looking for something fun to do when I was in downtown Cleveland and found Hilarities....

It's your basic comedy club. Close seats that would push any one struggling with claustrophobia to have a mini panic attack... Over priced drinks... But they bring some well known artists to the city and it's always good to laugh.

I came and saw Dom Irrera.. He, the pre act and the pre, pre act were good. More time was spent on stage by the pre-acts than the main artist... I ended up spending $25 on a ticket and $25 on drinks (there is a 2 drink minimum) and got about 1 hour and 15 minutes of entertainment.... I guess that is about the going rate.

As of the time I write this review they had a lot of entertainment options. On various nights they had burlesque shows...

Overall, I thought it was ok. If you wanted to go and have a night out in downtown Cleveland it may be fun, but I am sure there are plenty of other comedy clubs in the greater Cleveland area...

We planned a visit for a Saturday night and purchased seats in advance for the 9:30 show. Our seats were great and so were the comedians. Great way to spend a winter evening and have a few laughs too.

We took a spur of the moment trip to Cleveland just for fun and doing some research on her phone on the way, my wife turned up this comedy club. So after checking into the hotel, we walked to this fun area where this theater is located. I walked back to the box office and got some general admission tickets, and then we got dinner in the attached Pickwick & Frolic restaurant. For a 9:30 show, the theater lets people in at 8:45 so we were back there a couple minutes before then. If you don't have reserved table and have general admission as we did, I recommend being there at 5 minutes before they open the theater doors.

I had no idea what to expect and figured we'd have hard chairs for "general admission" but boy was I wrong! We were taken in to very nice booth-like seats and our own table for the two of us, dead center and not far from the stage at all - wow! Our drink service was excellent and we ordered a small pitcher (4 drinks) of moscow mules and they were delicious. And the show: we laughed until it hurt. The emcee, the local warmup comedian and the main act were all hilarious. I'm SO glad we found this place and we will return.
