It's a big place, but angles for a cheer competition is not to my liking. Not sure how a show or something would be but I think it would be pretty good because the stage is elevated.

The building location, only a few blocks from the "Jack" Casino complex, East 4th dining, 5 major hotels and Sporting venues offers a glimpse into the past.
We attended the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction concert there on several times, this year no exception. Its an older building, the internal ramps provide access to the upper balcony seats overlooking the open floor.
Used for Political rallies in its past, the gathering place still shines for special events. Yes, it has some set backs due to its age (minimal bathrooms, small vending areas, tight hallways), however, for history enthusiasts and purists its a great example of re-tooling and re-use...its "green" in that respect.
Check it out.

Hubby and I went to see the Russian Ballets Swan Lake at Music Hall Cleveland and the performance was fantastic. The parking was behind the courthouse which is across the street from the Public Auditorium, after parking you will need to cross the street and walk down the entire block to the backside of the Public Auditorium where you will find Music Hall Cleveland. Parking and walking that far was ridiculous but what are you going to do? Thankfully it wasn't raining or snowing.. Anyway the theater is very nice and the seats were larger with more leg room than the Playhouse Square theaters. If you have read any of my other reviews of theaters you know I feel part of the experience of going to the theater should include comfortable seating and not just the performance and a few theaters downtown I will not go to again. If I'm only 5'5" and have to sit at an angle in my seat because there's no room for ones legs it just breaks my heart to see my hubby who is 6' look so uncomfortable crammed into a small space for 60-90 minutes. We were both comfortable in our seats here. This theater has the beautiful ornate woodwork and plaster work throughout. There is a small makeshift concession, a few tables pushed together, that offers beer, wine, water, sodas and snacks.
Overall hubby and I would return again and have already reviewed the upcoming shows for this theater even though the parking was lousy. We will check online to see if there are other parking lots closer to the entrance that we need to use but other visitors are not aware of. If we find that illusive lot I will update this posting to let everyone know.

The place inside is old world and stunning, however, it's old, dirty, and if you look close falling apart. We were there Saturday for the Rock Hall Induction ceremony and say in the upper deck. First of all the stairs in the seating area are very steep and there is poor lighting and no hand rails. People were terrified trying to walk down the steps. We sat near a wall support and kept seeing like dust falling. Sure enough we were sitting (section 22), near a huge patch on the wall that some woman kept bumping into as she danced and each time another chunk of plaster was being knocked off. Huge pile of plaster by the end of the night. Sound was good, visuals Ok. Other thing was trying to get concessions, you have to stand in the hallway while people getting through the narrow hallways plow into you. Kind of tough. This was all designed for another era. Beautiful though, but sadly in need of updating.

I imagine if you are on the floor or in a section next to the stage it's different, but the bulk of the seating faces the arena floor and the seats are very narrow so turning your body to face the stage is a non option and you will be getting very friendly with your neighbors. The layout is like that of Circus Maximus long and narrow. Don't be deceived by how close the seating chart makes all the seats look, they aren't.

The auditorium is historic and old. Sound is great. The seats are old and small. Two important things in need of improvement and that would be to add lights over the ladies toilets as it is too dark in the stalls. And to have a concessionaire to provide beverages and snacks. Otherwise allow us to bring in our own. Aside from that just knowing that so many famous people were inducted into the Hall of Fame right on that stage was very cool.

I've been here twice, and I just love it. The classic design on the inside is a walk back through time. I wish I could take a time machine back to the day when it first opened to see the difference performances. There are 2 side to the auditorium also. One side is typical auditorium seating & a stage. The other side is a stage, opening flooring, with reserved balcony seating only. Very interesting design. I'm curious as to what performances were there back in the day. Even if you don't go for an event, just take a walk through if possible.

The atmosphere is fine for a concert, however the acoustics are poor, parking is ample, however, I'll say it's a problem because you park in an underground garage and it takes FOREVER to exit after the concert. Next time we go there, I will look to find a surface lot and walk a couple of blocks.

We were there for a Barbershop Harmony International Contest beautiful auditorium but not very ADA friendly. Ramps are steep to the balcony, no elevator. Stairs are also steep and there is no handrail

What a place of history and to have a meeting also! Was in Cleveland for Best Western conference and this was our main meeting place. Great sound and history!
