This area is such a nice place for running, walking, biking or horseback riding. Well maintained trails take you through beautiful wooded areas, past waterfalls and other natural beauty.

Bridal Veil Falls and Great Falls are both very nice. You would be remiss to skip them on a visit to this area.

We saw 7 falls in the area and bridal veil was not one of our favorites. We like brandywine falls, Chagrin Falls, & The Great Falls of Tinker Creek the best.
There was a lot of trees down that blocked the view of Bridal Veil falls from the viewing platform. I had to really maneuver to get a decent photo. It’s a really nice area with a nice boardwalk trail with a bridge to get to the falls. I wish the park would clean out some of the fallen trees that block the view. The falls are more like a cascading ramp that makes it different from the other falls in the area. The walk to the falls was fairly easy.

The wooden staircase leading down to the falls is very easy to navigate. The falls themselves are breathtaking. Such a peaceful, serene atmosphere.

We enjoyed the various small hikes to some of the waterfalls throughout Bedford Reservation. We visited right after some strong rain so that helped keep the crowds down. Beautiful walks through the area - great for our young kids. We took a couple of hours to enjoy the sights. Great place to visit when in the area visiting Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

I used to hike Bedford Reservation often, almost daily. I've lived here for over 40 years. I know the trails like the back of my hand. I still do hike the trails with my dog's, on days when the weather isn't optimal. Slight rain, gloomy, slightly chilly or cold and snowing. Why? As someone who grew up here, it sure has changed from a peaceful hike through nature to basically a over crowded tourist attraction as say an amusement park. It is beautiful, Tinker's Creek, the trails, some beautiful views, etc. However on a beautiful weather day, expect an over abundance of people on every trail, in every parking lot, loud music, people talking on their phones, or earphones listening to who knows. (Why be out in nature, go to a mall) Some will practically walk right into you. You should always be watching for people on bikes or your going to be run down as most (not all) don't have the courtesy to let you know they're behind you, as well as taking over expecting you to get out of they're way. Again, most, NOT all. However if you do love to bike, Bedford Reservation has more bike trails than hiking trails and much nicer than the hiking trails too. So for bikers it's a great park. I would probably purchase a bike for this park alone. I get it, I don't hate the bikers. Bottom line, beautiful scenery, but don't think you're escaping from the city.

The best part of Cuyahoga Valley National Park is the Bedford Reservation! Especially the Great Falls at Viaduct Park, Bridal Veil Falls, and Hemlock Creek Park.

The trail to Bridal Veil Falls is across from the parking lot and down the steps to the boardwalk. The trail merges with the Buckeye Trail. The falls can best be viewed from the observation deck. At first, I did not know I was looking at the falls - it just seemed to be a creek. So, I want about another half mile along the Buckeye Trail before turning back and realizing that I had already seen the falls! They are pretty, but just not what I was expecting. I really liked this section of the Buckeye Trail.

The Gorge Overlook is wonderful - it is located right off of Gorge Parkway. Tinkers Creek can be seen in the distance. The view was amazing even after the fall leaves have left the trees.

I absolutely loved Tinkers Creek at Hemlock Creek Park! The creek had left the gorge and is a wide, but still powerful, creek at this point. I bet it is even better after heavy rains. The trail starts just to the left of the shelter and stays near the creek. Instead of turning back in the loop, I stayed on the bridal trail that continued along the creek for a bit before going uphill. Then, I headed back the same way along the creek. I had this entire trail to myself twice. But someone had decorated the evergreen before me!

Hemlock Creek enters Tinkers Creek in this park with a small falls of its own.

In a return future visit, I want to hike the Buckeye Trail through Bedford Reservation and to return to these water features, too.

The Bedford Reservation is lovely. Lots of hiking trails and overlooks. However, we had higher expectations for Bridal Veil Falls than the reality delivered.

Lovely little area with a very nice hiking trail... We were there during the week so the park was relatively empty ... A very nice place to take a leisurely hike or enjoy a picnic lunch... Bridal Veil Falls are small but aptly named and very peaceful and beautiful...

It is a relatively small reservation located in the midst of the town with easy access. Once inside, it is hard to imagine that it is so close to humanity - so peaceful on the hiking trail. You can even get into the shallow creek and wade in the water on a hot summer day. Great views from overlooks that one can only imagine must be spectacular in Fall.

I love this part of the Emerald Necklace (Cleveland MetroParks). I have been enjoying this place since I was a child. Now I walk the trails with my dogs, relaxing and enjoying the peace and beauty of the park. Please if you walk your dogs in the park, keep them on a leash. There are wild animals (deer, rabbits, hawks, squirrels and others) plus other dogs which might not be friendly, so if your dog takes off you might not be able to catch him/her. Also there are poop bag holders by the parking lots so please be considerate and pick up your dog's poop and carry it to a trash can.... Leave it the way you found it and it will always remain beautiful.
