We really enjoyed our live music experience here, the sound system was exceptionally good. Its a great live music venue if you can afford the balcony. Otherwise you will be standing for hours.

The down fall of this place "in true 2000's style" is they will milk every penny they can from your wallet! Want get into the show "that you have a ticket for" by going through the bar where you're having a drink? Get an extra $30 out or have to chug your drink, leave bar and walk in the front door! Really? Also, drink prices are sky high "Go Figure" Just because you can rip people off should you?

Oh well, the music venue makes up for most of the rip off's surrounding you everywhere. Bartender made me believe my beer came with a shot, which ended up costing me $8 + $6 = $14 for a shot and beer at happy hour? I know, I know its the big City, deal with it.

House of Blues! Stop the Live Nation/fluctuating ticket pricing game/sham/rip off. When I first looked at tickets for the show I wanted, they were $145 ea, then ultimately "weeks later" $45 + fee's. We all as fans of our favorite bands need to say NO to ridiculous ticket prices and just stay home.

Lastly, I would recommend you drinking and eating elsewhere and show up at concert time, through the front door. If you do this, you will have a very good affordable live music experience, that is if Live Nation didn't get the best of you.

House of Blues is an older venue with no parking real close. We paid $20 for parking and we're almost three blocks away. There was no real drop off point for people with mobility issues. Once inside the staff went out of their way to be helpful. Food is available at this concert venue but wasn't particularly good and the prices were high. There wasn't a lot of seating at this venue but sightlines were pretty good. Great sound and Gaelic Storm had a terrific concert. Good overall experience.

First issue is you pay $50 for a seat if you want 1. This is called VIP.

Second issue they paired slowflo a reggae band with the Johnny cash experience. Not a good pairing. Although the reggae band was very good, it was not a good pairing.

Third issue was the MC of the night let some distant relative do comedy between the acts. He started out with jokes you'd find in a child's joke book. Then he preceded to tell crass and sarcastic jokes insulting people. He was awful. I am not happy I had to hear it.

Finally in the middle of the Johnny Cash Tribute, they stopped the music and awarded the performer his black belt in karate. It completely disrupted the energy. Plus the sound system was so bad the people talking were so distorted you could not begin to understand.

The whole evening was very unprofessional and not what I expected from the iconic House of Blues. The reason this is a 3 star review is bc the performance was so good.

House of Blues is an older facility with no close parking. Our biggest problem that night was that the Live Nation website (and our tickets) stated that the Andy Grammer show started at 7 p.m. People started lining up outside and we arrived around 6:15, assuming the doors would open a half hour before the show. Wrong! House of Blues wasn't opening the door until 7. We called House of Blues from outside and were informed that the show wasn't starting until 8:15. We were stuck outside in downtown Cleveland in February, It was freezing cold, windy weather, and the showtime had been misrepresented. During our wait, three different men came down through the line begging for money, Different men were waiting outside the venue begging after the show as well. It didn't feel like the safest place to be.

Inside House of Blues was pretty cool, but the drink prices were outrageous. Mixed drinks were $14 each, served in tiny kid-sized cups, and each cup was first filled to the top with ice. There were maybe 4 good sips per cup. I don't mind paying $14 for a drink, but I want a decent sized drink.

The concert was AMAZING. Andy Grammer was outstanding; very energetic and upbeat. He puts on a great show, and the acoustics were fantastic.

If I were coming to this venue again, I would call first and confirm the showtime, regardless of what the tickets say. I would also purchase the tickets through a different outlet besides Live Nation. We don't attend a lot of concerts and didn't shop around because we were afraid the show would sell out quickly. Found out later that we actually paid double the ticket prices for everyone in our group because of fees. Live and learn.

I would rate Andy Grammer a 10 because he was awesome, and rate the venue 1, because of the price gouging.

The Blues Chronicles played 2 great sets. Made up of local jazz musicians they produce wonderful music. The food was good quality and the service was great. I had the cajun shrimp tacos and loved them.

Had a great meal here. Service was great. We like a drink that has two types of alcohol in it that we ordered and the server was kind enough to tell us that our drinks would be $17 each and would we still want them - we switched to wine! The place is a little bit pricey for the atmosphere but still a great meal.

Stopped in here on our way through the City for dinner. The service was excellent for the size of the place. The house salad is worthy of a mention. Very good. The bacon cheeseburger was also very good. Ordered the brisket dinner which was ok, because the sides were not great. The beans were cold, the corn was over cooked and soggy. The corn bread was good. The coleslaw was ok. The key lime pie was a little warm too. The drink menu is extensive and has a ton of house mixes. Live music started around 9:00. This is not an intimate or quiet place if you're looking for that. The decor is eclectic and interesting. The other thing worth mentioning, if you're not from the area is parking. My GAWD, IT'S A BEAR. Also, it's a walk into an area to get to this place because it's contained in a restaurant, Christmas show, roads are closed situation. We PD 10$ to park in a structure. The elevator was impossible to find because it's in another building. So we huffed up a few flights of stairs. The Christmas display is up and worth a walk down the street too.

We stopped in for drinks and apps and Kenny was our bartender. He made us excellent drinks and was great to talk to. The cornbread was awesome. We look forward to going back to see Kenny and have some drinks!

Had dinner here tonight and the service was amazing. Michele went out of her way to make sure that I had what I wanted and needed. Have eaten here before and this was the best experience yet.

Located right on East 4th and a quick walk to Progressive Field!!

Thank you again
