When I heard that the Allen Theatre was made into three smaller theatres I did not know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's intimate but with all the amenities and comfort of larger theatres. Stand under the cupola just before the main lobby and you'll hear the echo of your voice. While you do that, take some... We saw this play as part of the Broadway series. This is the first time we have been to the Allen theater. The theater was intimate and comfortable. The lobby was beautiful and welcoming. This was a great experience.

We saw Steel Magnolias and were extremely impressed by this theatre. Beautiful entrance, nice room just outside the stage for gathering pre-show or at intermission. The theatre itself is very nice looking snd I loved the layout. Doesn't really appear to be a bad seat. Acoustics were great as well. Very friendly staff.

You will not be disappointed when you come in to the Allen theatre. The views from any seat are simply amazing and certainly love the decorations in the theatre. There are a lot of accessible bathrooms around and staff is quite friendly. In addition, it is certainly close to many restaurants and places to see prior to the event.

The Allen is beautiful and not too large. This allows every seat a great view of the stage. Restrooms are not too crowded. Concessions were also plentiful with short lines. This is an enjoyable venue. I had luck in parking in a lot across from the theaters with only quick walk across the street to the front door. This worked... More

Tyler Perry's play was excellent. There was a very rude woman next to us who kept talking throughout the play. The seating was originally built for short people. Get an aisle seat if you have long legs. Beautiful building. Nice staff.

Looked like a good show. Unfortunately we had an emergency and had to miss our night. Contacted the box office and learned that we could exchange for another night. Got there an hour early to exchange tickets. The staff was excellent and the show was fun. I would do it again in a heart beat. The theater is smaller than... More

The Cleveland Playhouse produces excellent theater performances well worth the visit to a historic theater district. The area has improved 1000 fold in the last several years with continued improvements in performance quality and excellent theater restoration. It is worth your time to visit.

I've been to other theaters in Playhouse Square that were a lot bigger than the Allen Theater. Bigger is not always better. There isn't a bad seat in a the house. Also, the bathrooms were convenient and plentiful.

This was my first visit to this amazing theater and I was blown away! I don't think there was a bad seat in the house. The theater itself is so breathtaking that I almost forgot to watch the play I came to see. Cleveland should be very proud of this facility - it rivals theaters in London and is better... More
