great place... very laid back... I go anytime I am in the land... always great DJs and sometimes some really surprising headliners... if you are into hearing some really original artists and innovative sets this is definitely worth checking out...

Abbasso Underground Lounge is a surprising place to find in Cleveland. It's reminiscent of underground clubs in places like New York or London. One can almost miss it since you must first enter the bar/restaurant Bottoms Up, and then proceed downstairs to Abbasso.The lounge had a really cozy vibe. The red lighting had a warm ambience, and the central bar was spacious and surrounded with wrought iron chairs. There was also lots of comfy couch or table seating areas to relax in, yet plenty of room on a nice hardwood floor to dance on.From what I hear they support good local DJ's and normally you can hear anything from progressive house, tribal, tech, and house music. And I guess they plan on bringing in some excellent top talent this summer.The crowd was more diverse than I have seen in other Cleveland clubs, and the atmosphere though stylish was not snobbish.
