Very nice to have free admission; lots of historical items--many ob/gyn; not many cardiovascular (my specialty); covering wide range of medical development--mainly Western; great to motivate kids; a mini museum to show progression of medicine....

Had some free time to visit the museum before the Indians game. Was not disappointed. The museum holds a lot of artifacts from medical science from the early 1900's. Even before. There was a special display/section for the reproductive sciences. Most interesting. It's free (donations)...More

We had about 3 hours to spend in Cleveland. The museum only takes up about half a floor of a building. You can see everything in about an hour or if you read all the exhibit descriptions and explanations, it can take hours. Very informative...More

A great display of the history of medicine to its modern evolution. It poses an d answer the question, how did people survive with old medical care. It is self guided and can be done in under 2 hours. Park at the University Hospital garage...More

This is my favorite stop so far in Cleveland. I have been to the Museum of Surgical Science in Chicago and this medical museum is much better. Loved the history of contraception exhibit! Very interesting and informative.

This small museum is a bit hidden if you don’t keep your eyes peeled for it. It’s located on the Case Western Reserve University Campus in the Allen Memorial Medical Library building (get google directions to this building to save yourself some time). The museum...More

This was something out of the ordinary and only for people who love history and learning. There were a lot off different things to see and it was neat to see the progression of medicine.

What a fascinating little place! And it's free! The exhibits covering the history of contraception were fascinating. Who knew women used herbs and lemons? We were there about 1.5 hours and could have spent another hour if we hadn't been overtired from visits to other...More

Impressive collection. I've gone to medical museums in Belgium and Williamsburg and this was better than both. I went to another one that was more comprehensive in hs but this one is pretty great especially since it's off the beaten path. I was a fellow...More
