Today I visited the museum with a friend. I have been a member for many years. The food at the cafeteria was probably the worst I have had. I ordered the tofu curry bowl The broth was cold, the noodles were not cooked, some of the vegetables were too larhge to be eaten comfortably. My friend ordered a vegetarian chili that was vcold and not seasoned. If you v9isit this museum make sure you have an alternate place for lunch.

A summer visit to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History was a disappointment compared to previous visits. This museum is undergoing renovations and the basement and planetarium were closed. Full price still charged even though portions of the museum were closed.

The museum offered several hands-on exhibits throughout the museum, but nothing like they used to offer. I'm hopeful they will add more hands-on exhibits once renovations are complete. If you like snakes, there are a few large snakes in the museum.

Cleanliness: The museum was clean and presentable. Restrooms were satisfactory as well.

Staff: Museum staff was not friendly. I contacted the museum in advance to ask questions about my visit. I was told I could purchase tickets at the museum or online. The museum attendant was upset that we did not purchase tickets in advance at the museum because she would have to enter information into the computer system.

Parking: Parking is available in a parking garage connected to the museum or along the street with a short walk.

What I enjoyed most at the museum was the outside area where we could see coyotes and an albino raccoon. We also heard a gentleman discuss crayfish and he had them to demonstrate his lecture.

This is an above-average natural history museum, with the usual exhibits, including, of course, dinosaurs and other interesting and informative displays of an anthropological nature. The rocks and minerals section was the best thing here, with well-arranged displays that include detailed information about each item, including location found, and specific chemical formulas. If you have to choose only one natural history museum outside of New York City and within 600 miles west of there, this should be your choice.

The Museum is a grand institution. It was home to famous anthropologists and has celebrated fossil collections. Sadly, it needs a serious renovation. Some exhibit areas smell old and musty. Like a big basement that has flooded. It has the potential to be a major institution and (more) popular attraction, if it invested money in rehabbing and updating exhibits and tore out the old flooring or whatever smells bad.

A thoroughly national class natural history museum in Cleveland. A small zoo is also added with the price of admission.

Staff was very nice from beginning to end. The gentleman working the cafeteria this evening (around 4:30PM on 4/1) was incredible. So generous and gracious.

Our kids loved the massive dinosaur bones. Great place to see!

We drove 2 hours to this awesome place. The museum has many indoor and outdoor things to see. Numerous animals and reading. Our favorite was the dinosaurs. We saw visitors of all ages here. Spent at least two hours visiting. No long lines, but kind of crowded after 12 nooon. Gift shop was near the outdoor area that contained eagle and hawk. Excellent place to take an individual or group picture.

Luv the Live Animal zoo, especially otters and bobcats. It's a hidden gem in the center of the city. Even the deer are fun, and the fox.

Visited today and very disappointed. The cost is too high for what the museum has to show. Find something else to do. Also this museum is extremely restrictive and unwelcoming. I don’t think most families will be comfortable here. Too much fear being sold.
