Large cathedral with huge Catholic "campus". We are not Catholic but my Grandma lives across the street, so I visit often. The shrine is a full mile on the path with beautiful lawn, flowers and creek. Frequented by religious tourists and locals alike. The church...More

Had a magnificent day. Had a fantastic tour of the basilica, including the lower level. The Holy Relics were awesome. The cafeteria offered a fantastic lunch. The gift shop was good. Check the schedule and attend a mass. Be sure to go to the shrine...More

I got married in this church almost 29 years ago. I hadn't been back in several years. I recently attended a funeral there and was struck by the beauty and magnificence of this place. I had forgotten how truly gorgeous it is.

We spent about 2 1/2 hours visiting the shrine, spending most of the time in the lower level where there's a lot of history to read about the founding of the shrine. Its impressive display of crutches and handmade dresses from many years back is...More

Cathedral and nearby park are terrific places to go and get close to God. Sometimes I just sit in the sanctuary and allow the shear magnitude of this place wash over me. Many times I pray there - or at the park. Either way, the...More

This shrine was visited by my Polish mother and HER Polish grandmother. A beautiful building, beautifully decorated, beautiful painted ceiling. Miracles are said to have occurred here. Stop by and say a prayer, regardless of your religion!

Great shrine with a lot of spirituality and history. If you are a Catholic looking for a religious experience with reverence, devotion to Our Lady and many relics this is an excellent stop

My wife and I visited the Shrine and attended Mass at this beautiful church. It is one of the old traditional churches that still maintains a very Catholic reverence. The actual Shrine is to the right of the main alter and very nice. This was...More

I heard there is a week long event there in August. I am unable to find any information on it or the dates this year. Can you help?

Yes, it's the annual Pilgrimage and Novena. It is typically held in the middle of August each year. You can read about last year's event, along with a terrific history, by going to the Columbus Dispatch and search for the... More
