I love this older neighborhood, but would not live here during to the higher crime level. So many of the homes are lovely and interesting, with a wonderful variety of features and styles. I would love to see the inside of many of them! It is a beautiful area to walk through with sidewalks, mature trees, etc. Newer neighborhoods never have the charm and character of these older ones.

Historic Ridgewood contains many of the original homes and estates of the first successful businessmen and industrialists of the city of Canton. If you like to view older well-kept homes from the past that are large and majestic...driving around this expansive neighborhood just outside downtown Canton is a must!

Well, if you visit Ridgewood, make sure that you don't venture to far south or east.At one time these homes were sought after by the very affluent people of Canton. Some of the homes are magnificent and others are so so.The streets are paved with brick but you must drive very slow as the intersections are either in a swale or are perched on uphill grades. One thing to keep in mind is that these homes are bordered by 25th St. to the North and 19th Street to the South. If you go to far South and East you will be traveling at your own risk. It is not a good end of town, literally.Lots of crime and occasionally a gun shot or three. It's better to stay North. Please note that anything South of 19th St. is a very rough end of town. I worked for a local utility company so I know first hand. It's patrolled very well but be careful. Most of the homes are of Tudor style and still get a pretty penny to own.I believe that there are some Frank Lloyd Wright homes in and around the neighborhood. I will conclude that if you visit take it slow because of the brick streels and don't venture to far South.

Ridgewood is one of the finest neighborhoods in the area. The homes are older, and magnificent. Bricked streets, tudors, beautiful landscaping. It's a great place for a drive.

Story book architecture one must think of a fairy tale, here in historic Ridgewood one walks among these wonderful structures, most are Tudor, however, all exemplify a time of prosper in the history of Canton. Built on a Belden farm, the original Victorian house still sits on a large peaceful lot. Brick streets, fluted light post with glass globes, sidewalks and mature trees make this place a must for those seeking the architecture of choice pre deco. When there don't forget to visit the Mid century modern house as well as an original Sears house with Corinthian columns and wrap around porches.

I am looking to buy a French Tutor home in this neighborhood that is affordable and unique. There is no crime and although the bordering area looks bad, it is not full of crime.

We lived in Ridgewood, and if it weren't for my husband's job, I would have loved to die living in this home. Ridgewood is a unique neighborhood, beautifully maintained, and friendly neighbors.

From the brick streets to the classic cast iron street lights this neighborhood has real charm. The homes are architecturally
interesting.

Loved driving through this neighborhood. If you love old homes, this is the place for you. If we lived in this area, I would love to own one of these homes. They are all so unique. Varied styles, a lot of storybooks and Dutch Colonials. Close to several other Canton attractions. Just follow the red brick roads!
