I went there last week with my friend. So much to see other than the cars. Very friendly staff, especially Char, she is so friendly and very knowledgeable about her cars, and Canton's history. She could truly write a book, and should.

Even if you're not a car aficionado, if you like antiques and memorabilia, you'll find something of interest here. This museum is large, with the variety of an antique mall. Staff was friendly. Thanks for a fun visit!

The Canton Classic Car Museum is downtown near a major hotel, the 200 year old newspaper, the National First Ladies Library and the church where President McKinley worshipped when he lived in Canton. As a local resident, I have gone there 3 times and always find something new to marvel about. The history of each car is displayed, and they have a police car with 2" plate glass, gun turrets, and spotlights like you remember from the old gangster movies. The collection belonged to a local couple--the husband collected the cars and the wife collected an AMAZING trove of clothing, signs, toys, collectibles, children's furniture, and just about anything you can imagine from the 1930s to the 1960s. They have the same dollhouse I had as a child and the cases full of antique toys will have you spending at least an hour on the memoribilia before you even move to the rooms with the cars. It's not expensive, parking is free, and the neighborhood nearby has many properties recently renovated beautifully. You should visit this gem when you are in Canton visiting the Football Hall of Fame!

When I was just a little girl, my grandfather introduced me to the world of classic cars. I was fascinated with the streamline construction & elegant beauty of the exteriors, as well as the interiors. He first took me to the Canton Classic Car Museum when I was about 5 years old. Since then, much has been added, and the fun experience still remains.

There is so much memorabilia not only regarding classic automobiles, but artifacts from years as early as the 1920s!

Take a trip back in time & allow yourself to be wowed!

The people were super kind and the cars were very cool. Nice activity to take up an hour or two. On our way out, a very kind lady named Char talked to us for an hour about all different history around Canton, and her love for cars! She ended the conversation with a beautiful quote, “when your at school, there will be a brick. when your parents are talking, there will be a brick. whatever you do, there will be a brick. so you can use those bricks to build something that will take you anywhere you want.” It was a beautiful way to conclude the conversation. The lady was very nice. If you find yourself having an open hour or two in the Canton area, we recommend!

Several great antique cars. My favorite was the powder-blue coupe de ville. Several Packards were on display, as well as an antique fire truck. There are antique toys displayed throughout the museum and even a couple of children's riding toys/cars. We enjoyed taking our time.

Admission is $7.50 adult. There is a coupon for 15% off admission on their website. We spent about 2 hours looking around in the many rooms. Huge collection of vehicles from all decades. And a vast amount of memorabilia and antiques. The care taker has to be in his 90s and sharp as a tack. He also offered to take our picture. Fun time as we were passing through Canton. Ample free parking in adjacent lot.

One word describes this place: creepy. We arrived about 4:30pm, worried we wouldn’t have time to enjoy the exhibit; but the caretaker, who was as ancient as his surroundings, kindly assured us: “Don’t worry. Once you’re in…you’re…in!” Something about his words (or how he said it) evoked an episode out of “Twilight Zone.” I wanted to turn and run! We could be trapped in this spooky place…and by morning, be part of the display… Arghhhh!!! I shook off my weird thoughts (not until after our visit did I learn that my companions had felt exactly the same). A life-sized mummy, propped up beside an old, dilapidated buggy, seemed to be following us with his shiny eyes. It felt like a Haunted House Tour on Halloween night. But curiosity drew us deep into the shabby hall, one leading into another, each one crammed with a decrepit mishmash of memorabilia that all but obfuscated what should have been the museum’s main focus: 40 fully operational, rare, unusual, classic and special interest automobiles. This collection of beautiful and historical vehicles definitely deserved 5 stars on their own merit, had they been appropriately curated. Sadly, this Museum failed in this regard. What I think the place needs is a major overhaul. And move the memorabilia into its own museum.

My husband favored the classic cars while I favored the antique memorabilia. Too much to see in one visit. Easy free parking in adjacent lot.
