As a micro distillery, we specialize in producing craft spirits in small barrel batches with close attention paid to the details. All ingredients are from local resources in Northeastern Ohio and processed directly by the owner himself. Traditional distilling methods combined with new-age distilling technology ensure a consistently smooth and quality whiskey. Our featured product is Apparition Original Moonshine, a clear, unaged corn whiskey made from traditional corn mash with corn grown right up the road. Smooth and nostalgic tasting...just like our grandfathers made.

It was nice learning about how the moonshine is made and even some fun facts about Canal Fulton I didn't know :) Wish they were open longer hours, great spot to hang out

5 of us went for a tasting and the owner gave us a first hand tale of how the distillery started. He was very entertaining and congenial host. His product is outstanding! The tasting room is in a basement type setting......reminds you of what a 'speakeasy' looked like in the day. If you like corn whiskey, this is the place. Delicious flavors and he has lots of projects for new flavors in the works. Call them for hours of operation, just to be sure you don't miss out. GO!

We had a tour of the Distillery after a canal boat tour. The owner has interesting details of the buildings history. Some of the stories are truly amazing and he is a great guy. The offerings vary widely and the apple pie and pumpkin were both good. Interesting way to spend an evening and recommend setting time aside to spend here when in town.

The place is right off canal in a great location. They have great Whiskey made with local ingredients and I loved the atmosphere !

I love Canal Spirits Distillery! Besides having some awesome flavors of "white whiskey" the atmosphere is really quite cool and the owner Vinny is fabulous - a must stop in a cute little town nestled on the historic Ohio Canal!

Visited on the advise of a friend and now wish we had bought more while we were there. First, it is in a great location with lots of history and the owner is a great guy - very friendly and makes you feel right at home, but most importantly - he makes some really great Moonshine. It is unbelievably smooth! He has several flavors and alcohol % which is great and all taste really good, but the true blue 100 proof clear is remarkable! I couldn't believe I was drinking it straight with ease. So many times you stop at a craft distiller and get wrapped up in the experience and buy some, take it home and then wonder what was I thinking - not with Canal Spirits, It is just as good (if not better) at home. We will be back and stocking our cabinet. Thanks.

Check out this place. Great whiskey made with local ingredients. This is a great family owned place. Don't miss it. Joey gave us a great run down on how it was made. The blackberry whiskey is the stuff.

Cool, dark tasting room on bottom level of building right off canal. Several different types of whiskey to sample- he had apple, pumpkin, blueberry and straight whiskey during our visit. At a dollar a sample it is a great deal. Local ingredients, quality product. You will probably end up buying some to take home. Owner/distiller there to talk about product, answer questions. Perfect stop after walk on canal.

Have tried to stop at this place several times but it is only open at select times, but finally made it there on a Saturday afternoon. Talked with the owner/operator Vinnie for some time and sampled two of his moonshine creations, the blackberry and the apple. Both were very good, maybe a little harsh for some people but I think thats to be expected for a moonshine type liquer. To buy a bottle I think he is a little pricey. You can get a good liquer for the same price at your local liquer store, but its great to have someone local like this in a small town. He also needs to have better hours besides just two nights a week and Saturdays.Hope he does well.

Had a fun evening learning the history of Canal Fulton, the distillery owners family moonshining history, and tasting samples of "Apparition" moonshine. We took home a bottle of "Apparition" Blackberry Moonshine, which will be perfect to serve at our halloween party! The distillery is in the basement of an old historic building. Fun, interesting, and informative.
