Huge craft fair, lots of friendly vendors. Plenty to look at and buy. Very nice atmosphere. No entry fee.

We rented a cabin on the lake overnight, and had a very relaxing stay. The cabin had a beautiful gas fireplace, big screen TV's, a very comfortable living room and bedroom. The hot tub was new, worked great, had submerged mood lighting, and overlooked the lake! Everything was clean and well maintained, and they even provided firewood for the outside... More

We stayed in a cabin at the park, these book up really in advance, so we were lucky to find a cabin at the last minute over Labor Day weekend. We enjoyed hiking, fishing, sitting around the firepit, most importantly spending time with family!! The cabins are nice and well equipped. Each cabin has a outdoor grill and a fire... More

The three day weekend was our anniversary gift to each other. It did not disappoint. Wonderfully friendly people, great accommodations. We stayed in a cabin - beautiful view of the water, and a hot tub! Park entrance is free.

We have our boat docked at Salt Fork. The docks are handicap accessible and are well maintained. The grounds are always clean and well maintained. Our family loves spending the afternoon at the boaters beach. It is our favorite state park.

Lots of nice trails. Nice beach. Try kayaking - good deal - less than $30.00 for an hour for a 2 man and they are nice and helpful at the docks.

There were helpful friendly folks at the welcome areas that gave us a map & told us where we could park & to expect steep inclines down to the lake and back, which was all good advice. But when we attempted a trail, it was horrendous; not well marked (just spray painted arrows on trees), overgrown, nettles and thorns everywhere!!... More

Tried to see the meteor shower but a bunch of campers left their brightest lights on all night. When asked the next day, they told me to drive miles to somewhere else where it might be dark. They were not going to turn off their lights. Tried to hike the trails but the brambles have overgrown the trails. Bathrooms dirty... More
