Our Federation of North-American Explorers Timber Wolf Den visited in Jun 2017. We had a tour only for our group. It was very interesting (most boys had never been in a cave before) & the guide was both educational & humorous!

When you go to this little gem you might want to bring a jacket, it is 54 degrees year round. You will also need to wear shoes to climb in. You do a lot of climb up and down around and over rocks. There are...More

We just went over the weekend. I found it to be rather disappointing. The price was extremely high, $17 for one adult. I felt like $8 should have been highest price charged for anybody. The brochure shows an underground pond/lake. We got to view water...More

This is more a deep crack in the earth rather than a more traditional cave. Its interesting and a lot of fun to clamber down into but not for people that are not so steady on their feet. Quite a few start and then stop...More

What a surprise ! My idea of a cavern tour was the Shenandoah and Luray caverns in Virginia. Never before had I been to a cavern where visitors have to climb around rock formations and duck to avoid being wonked on the head ! We...More

Great tour, about an hour below ground. You do need to be in reasonable physical condition to participate as you will be climbing down 110 feet through narrow, steep rock corridors. Tour guide, Josh, was very knowledgeable and funny. Well worth the time and money.

Visited the caverns on a Friday in late July. When you drive up to it you really can't see anything other than a building. The entrance to the caverns are in the building. It is not your typical cave that you go into and has...More

I have never been to any caves like these before. I honestly did not know what to expect and since I am claustrophobic I might have a different perception of the caves. If I knew what I was getting into, I probably would not go...More
