First impressions are everything

So on Friday 29 November, my family and I decided to stop by the new opened Round1 at the Fairfield Mall. I was initially amazed to see all of the fun things to do there. Lots of arcade games, bowling, billiards. It was clean and pretty much smelled new. We decided to grab food from their little food place. And this is where my review gets a bit unfriendly. First the cashier had a hard time understanding a simple order (chicken wings platter with the sauce on the side...simple right?). For some reason she wasn’t understanding that. Then it took forever to get anything we ordered. The serving line was disorganized and chaotic. The manager on shift was clearly out of his depths with all of the orders coming in and literally was not doing his job by “managing”. There were other customers complaining of not receiving food ordered an hr prior to ours. Pizzas were burnt, salads were just thrown plates but the looked like something you’d put on burgers and not actual salad. Orders were coming out wrong, orders were dropping off the line, my orders were completed but left under a warming light and no one called my number or said anything to anyone who was working there. Had to get a new set of orders done. 2 other managers had to come in to assist. One manager did not have a hairnet or gloves and was handling food. There was however one of the worker who was trying his damn hardest to contain the chaos and literally had to step in for the on shift manager. Give that man a raise or promotion. I wish had I gotten his name. I get they recently opened but they should’ve had a game plan especially for the evening crowd. The food was just ok. I’d recommend eating elsewhere prior to going to enjoy the fun and games. Will definitely go back for that but NOT the food.
